I was in Atlanta, doordashing the night he died. I pulled up to an intersection directly across the street from grady hospital. I saw a car speed past me and a run a red light to get to the emergency entrance. They pulled up, hopped out, (a man and a woman) and started yelling for someone to come help. I found out the next day that king von was killed at a lounge and was taken to that very hospital at the exact same time I was there. The universe acts in funny ways. I’ve never even heard a king von song. But something put me there at that moment. Now listening to his voice and hearing him speak about his life, it really puts things in perspective. Not to mention the fact 15-20 years ago rappers weren't really bragging about drinking codeine and popping pills However, ever since influential black main stream rappers started rapping about doing percs, molly, xanax and lean predominantly around 2012 it's been a hot commodity for young urban kids. The worst thing about this interview is he’s a smart kid. Very aware and articulate.
