@@hn5842 To a certain extent he has had to pay the fines. To appeal a civil court fine you must deposit the fine, plus ~ 10%, with the court. This amount is further subject to compound interest while the appeals process plays out. The $5m (plus ~10%) he 'ponied-up' himself. The $83.8m (plus ~10%), Chubb Ins Co paid into the court for him. The $454m, he was only required to deposit $175m to the court, which billionaire Don Hankey provided. The seperate bonds are subject to accumulating interest by the courts. (A live debt counter site exists. Very satisfying viewing.) It is unknown how much Chubb /Hankey are charging him for the use of their money. Hope this helps.

Here a fact about all stocks: you have neither lost or gained money until you sell your shares. But in the case of TS it was always a losing bet, because of Trump's dismissal track record. The company only asset is a 78 year old man who has pissed off more than half the country, everyone of his side hustles ended in bankruptcy and has Alzheimer's. Inverters should do there their do diligence before they invest, not just listen to the rosey spiel from the frontman.
