I say this all the time. When two or more people get arrested. Everybody don’t be on the same page. 1 person might want go to trial and risk life. The other person might want to just cop out to 15. That’s not a black and white situation. It’s a lot of grey. The smart play might be accepting the deal but you got a young wild codefendant that’s scared to just accept fate. Accepting the deal makes that time real ain’t no more discussion about it YOU GOT 15 YEARS. But picking 12 allow you to ignore that realization even if it’s just for a year or two.
