Me and my mate have started doing this at the club we play at!! May not be interesting to the average punter but we at least we have way more fun doing it then just standard mixing. I bring in my X-Station synth every now and then too haha. These guys are wayyyy better then us though! Awesome.

alternatively: the mpc they are using has 'note repeat' on it, you can get the same effect that way by hitting the pad whilst holding this button down. they are using an AKAI MPC 2000, buy one.

you know it could also be a korg nano pad just because if you look at how they do their drum beats, theyre using velocity pads and when the guy puts his hand over to touch the x-y pad on the nano pad, the roll effect comes in. nano pads come in about $60 i have one and its pretty nice.

That MPC5000 looks fucking sweet though man. Thats a station though I couldn't bring that out to rock a show. Looked into the MPC500 portable looks cool for a something to trigger samples and loops at a show.
