I don't know if anyone has said this already but GTD is now making this microphone in the 500 band. The g-787h is the best bang for the buck. I have two sets of these and they work great in our small Chapel. The range is wonderful. I've gotten this microphone from the Chapel to our main sanctuary with no issues.

I agree the SM58 or even close clones are great I use the shure blx model wireless and lavalier. The range is amazing as well as doesn't require a ton of EQ'ing of the speeches and officiator.

Great review mate!! I really dont speak and use the mic too much but i really into microphones, once you started buying them you become a mic addict really fast fast haha, now i own some 15 wire mics and 6 wireless mics. my favorite ones are Audio-technica mics , Atw Serie for the wireless and the Dynamic one is an Audiotechnica ATM 510.

I bought GTD audio handhelds about a year ago after I saw them in your trailer video. Other than a little bit of handling noise, I've been very happy with them. Another plus is with the FCC selling off spectrum like there's no tomorrow, you're not out thousands of dollars as you alluded to. Love the videos and keep them coming. Thanks! I already own the GTD audio 622's. The sound of the headset that the body pack came with I always thought sounded terrible too. Always sounded bad when used on a wedding officiant. The replacement one that you bought sounds WAY better! I just now purchased it to replace the headset. Thanks!

@deejaybustab7 жыл бұрын
Great Vid!!! I have been using those same GTD Audio for about 5 years without any issues!!! Very long range too and best part is if 1 of the mics every get damages it isn't expensive to replace the mic and so easy to re program it into your receiver.

Great review I wanted these mics but they seem to be discontinued ... Any idea if the GTD 733 is just as good ?
@maks737 жыл бұрын
WOO PIG!!! Thanks for that, very informative. I also have the GTD 622's. One of my buddies had them, and they sounded excellent (and like you also saw, had good reviews). They haven't failed me! Before that, I was using the Shure mics from my job and those things are RIDICULOUS. The range they have is unparalleled, but then again, they are going to cost upwards of $400 - $500. The GTD's are a good compromise. Keep up the Excellence.

thanks for watching my friend! Yeah Shure makes great products, but I found the GTD's to be a good budget friendly option!

What a detailed look at Mics. I have never really paid attention to what was needed but I have a Audio-Technica ATW-3141BD 3000 Series Wireless Mic. and I sounds pretty good and I have an Audio Technica Wired Handheld for the booth and Audio Technica wireless Lapel for Ceremonies! I have a new box for a Second setup and I will need a new wireless Mic Setup for It and I was reading up on the GTD model you were talking about. Great Vid My Dude!!!

I tired a GTD wireless kit, it was nothing but noise unfortunately. I'm a HUGE fan of Mipro. They're the OEM for a lot of other manufacturers. Best bang for the buck around, super durable require little EQ AND batteries last forever.

Very good review as usual mate, well for karaoke purposes I use Behringer xm1800s i bought the 3 pieces set with a case here in Chile in CLP $40.000 something like 60 USD , so if a drunken singing lady happen to drop it, i dont really care so much, and when it comes to vocalists use, i have had very good results with Samson Q7 you should really give it a try to this one, im quite sure its gonna surprise you. greetings from Chile my friend keep up with the good work!

Been rocking my GTD787 (4 handhelds...) plus I have (2) lav/body packs. I replaced the included Lavs with third party mics with greater results. They DO NEED some EQ, but they work well and good range (My experience).

glad you've had good luck with them! Thanks for watching!

J Davis.. I swapped the included Mic with one from eBay. Make sure you get the correct mini,3pin xlr to connect . Mine cost between $13 and $22 (tried a few till found one that fit my expectations)

I would get rid of the Shures and go with almost everything else. Almost everything else had a better even a great sound. My experience is also go with almost anything other than Shure! If you are a beginner and don’t have a lot of time or the equipment to EQ your mic don’t get a Sure. If you have a lot of time and the equipment and know how and you want to spend your time EQing get Shure mics. That’s my experience and most live musicians and DJ’s that I know have shared that same experience with me. Any way great video! I am not a Sure fan and this helps solidify even more why I am not. Keep doing great videos. They are awesome!

Try Sennheiser E-935's! Blows any Shure away! and if you're on a budget get the Sennheiser E-835's again much clearer and sound better than the Shure mics. the Shure SM58's sound way too muddy too much mids and your constantly having to adjust the mids and drop 3db minimum out of the box. just give them a shot I have used to have Shure but switched just after trying 1 or 2 Sennheiser's.
@dylandylan117313 жыл бұрын
The gain stage in the belt pack is wrong for the skin tone headsets you purchased - the noise floor compared to the headset that came with the system/kit is horrible !!! Got to say not super impressed with the Shure clone radio your using...

Don't kid yourself, these off-brand Chinese wireless mics are made for karoke booths, they're nowhere close to stage worthy. You can get by with them for MC and stand-up comedy gigs, but don't dare hand one to a vocalist. It's not just noise and static, they have lousy dynamic range, ragged frequency response, and crap headroom. If you can't afford digital wireless, you can still find good deals on Shure analog wireless systems.
