thank you very much for sharing this session!! i agree with a lot of the points each speaker said. it's very important that more ppl know about this... having higher awareness when using social media, and how it is created to manipulate us... i also want to extend on one matter, regarding the de-politicised platform... i honestly think that this is very harmful to our society, especially political apathy is growing stronger, largely shaped by the akta we currently have (you know I know which one is it), also the common attitude among ppl (especially older ppl) that discourage ppl (of course the younger ppl, they are always told to just focus on study) from discussing politics properly, and most of the time resort to distort it in a 3R issue. it may seem like political apathy has nothing to do with media literacy, but i would say that everything in our life is affected by the policies our gov make, and with media literacy, at the very least, the attitude that media literacy tries to cultivate, to pause and fact check, could help us refrain from being too reactive to statements some politicians trying to make, even the intention behind the media (newspaper, tv, youtube channels) that make such portrait (i.e. clikcbait titles).

Well said. Social media has already overtaken the influence of mainstream media. Most Malaysians would rather read social media than traditional news.
