Yes. They can be very good, especially for rookies. As a rookie, you want to show that you not the one and that you don't back down from anyone. Like TJ said, vets will test you to see if you want that smoke &/or about that life & if you are, you instantly gain respect. Nabers just gained respect from his teammates and others around the league. Kid's got the onions. He's legit

You can show that you’re him on the field tho, where you’re actually getting paid to do so. Like you have lots of other ways to earn respect that don’t come from training camp fights. Like I get that it’ll happen, adrenaline and what not but it shouldn’t be something that’s just encouraged. Trash talking and shoving is one thing, swinging and wrestling is another.
