In the 90s he would be. His numbers are similar to Michael Irvin. But in the era he played the bar was raised because he played in a more pass happy league. I am a Chad Johnson fan, don't get me wrong...But you had guys like Marvin Harrison, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Torry Holt.Derrick Mason, Hines Ward etc.

Some went on to do better than he did statistically. His Footwork and Route Running helped him make the Bengals relevant in a tough Division. Steve Smith Sr. had 81 Touchdowns in that same Era.

Chads game was to appear chaotic, while running the purest cleanest routes in the league. His feet were amazing. He scored those 30 yard tds within the first 3 yards. In many ways, his antics were like that. He looked unhinged, but he was extremely calculated with everything he did. He brought so much excitement to a dead franchise. He made eyes glued to the tv. He deserves HOF for everything he did for the sport as a whole.

If you are just judging numbers to determine Hall of Famers and not the players themselves then the judges need to change. A computer can pick Hall of Famers if the numbers are all that matter. If you can't tell the story of the NFL and pass catchers during Ocho's era without mentioning Ocho, then he is a Hall of Famer.

I wanted to say Key Jr ...thanks for the comment on Spencer Rattler ..please tell your dad that Rattler was pitiful at OU after Jalen Hurts went in draft and dropped Charleston Rambo stock after he elected to pass on getting drafted in 2021 with Jalen Hurts & CeeDee Lamb he left that season after Rattler in the transfer portal to Miami lve been saying that your dad old team the Dallas Cowboys should have have brought in Rambo with the chemistry he has with Lamb bcz if u check the numbers in the first 6 games when Jalen Hurts arrived at OU his number one WR was C. Rambo in those first six games with Hurts Rambo was the No.1 WR in country ahead of Lamb so from a management prospective they should have made a decision with the history of CeeDee to have a complimentary piece to push production and help Lamb bcz these additions that they have made at the WR position haven't worked out since the got rid of Amari Cooper

The Era that you played in on a small market team with everyone knowing you name should count. Period the NFL controls primetime games and slots and who they market it was a time before burrow and they wouldn’t market the bengals as well as other teams.
