Get the invite to the big dance and go from there. Weve won it all as a 3 game road team, we've won a ring just about every way you can. This team has all the pieces, if we put it all together, we can beat anyone. If we dont, we can lose to anyone. That is professional football. Everyone gets a check.

Check the upcoming schedule. There’s a reason why people are frustrated after this loss. This needed to be a win, and like DK said, it’s the same stuff coming back to bite this team every time they lose. CLE was a 2 win team - stop coping or making excuses. This is a very talented team with a HC of 15+ years under his belt. It’s okay to demand better.

DK....I told my buddy I think the Steelers just walked in the stadium and figured we are better so we will just play straight up and win.....wrong..we got beat. Anyone who has played football know weather is a HUGE equalizer. So you already knew you were going to have to clearly outplay them. Beside that, even on a dry track I cannot understand for the life of me why we didnt blitz the H out of Jamies and also be sure to give them long fields...we did neither. We gave them shorter fields - which they did nothing with until they did - and as you covered didn't blitz. This tells me we just thought we were flat better..... uh wrong. if we came after Winston and gave them long fields....I cannot see how they could have won. ....course we did neither. ...and with a guy who can throw picks in buckets....UH!

I don’t question Justin on the field at the end of the game. He was on the field against the Ravens in the same situation. I don’t question calling a pass when he is in the game. I question the play call whether Russ or Justin was in the game. Cleveland had just used their first timeout. Run the ball again on 3rd down, or call a high percentage pass play.

I have a bone to pick with Refs, there was 3 terrible calls/no calls that had a colossal effect in the loss to Browns. 1st one the Intentional grounding that was not called ( it was 100 percent intentional grounding), 2nd the blatant holding call on Herbig which enabled browns QB run into the EZ for 7 points, 3rd on hail Mary you should watch with the ball in the air, GP was driven out of bounds which could have been interference call. We could have won this game if any one of those penalties were called.

DK on that penalty late in the game, why would it not be intentional grounding even with an ineligible receiver in the area touching? That seems like the Refs could call either and chose the less detrimental penalty. Was this what Tomlin was thinking and was wanting clarification?

Yes, 90 seconds are better than 50 and lets not forget Russ doesn't throw over the middle, so receivers can catch the ball and step out of bounds.

The lack of blitzing or any creativity on defense is maddening. Dumbing it down to a simple numbers game, you're rushing 4 with often at least 6 people in protection. Unless you have someone else who's consistently winning individual battles they'll continue putting 2 or 3 on TJ with no problem. As a top 3 defender in the league I suppose to some extent he has to overcome that and make the most of the individual battles when they're there, but ultimately his DC and head coach are severely letting him down.

The loss wasnt all bad. Fields got some reps and CA3 looked good as well as Darnell Washington was involved once again. Russ was efficient and Warren is trending up despite the OL play being terrible. Pickens is a dawg and McCormick is settling in at RG. The defense has great depth and although they got gashed they should have some starters returning and they have a long week to get ready. They escaped any more injuries or hard wear-and-tear on key players this week and will be facing a defense that plays vanilla most of the time so as long as Russ gets the ball out on time we should be able to transition into a more pass heavy offense late in the season. Week 15 at Baltimore will be the biggest game of the year so as long as we can sharpen steel and enter the stadium healthy and prepared its a very winnable game that we very much need to win much more than games against the Ohio teams as much as we despise them.

Well, I definitely wouldn’t be panicking at eight and three after a loss. I think with a lot of people are upset about is the in game decisions by the coaching staff and the defense getting blown off the ball and the 3rd down and red zone issues. Because those are gonna be problems down the road. I suppose what Steeler nation is feeling is a lot of anxiety of what could happen to the season and to them in the playoffs because of these things.

What I can't understand # 1, wasn't there 2 penalties? Illegal touching and Intentional Grounding. I remember Big Ben say about the play after a TD, "We can score 2 points everytime we want!" Meaning? Steelers have a designed play for any situation. Why don't we have that special play for these key opportunities with 3 options that we practice until we're blinfolded? Next? On a short week, with very limited practice time, would we add a new play, Justin on 4th down? Preparation didn't have the correct or number of players on the field. It appeared that no one had ever seen the play? Why do we call 3 plays in one game giving up field position? Our 3 previous great head coaches,❤, would never do. Are awesome egocentric that we can believe we can give Cleveland a short field in Cleveland, basically 9 free points? I want our old tried and consistent HC who make winning the Steelers way a priority. When will we have a sideline coaching staff that manages clock and replay decissions as their only function. Why not have a coach who only watches our opponents tendencies, weaknesses, and gambling? We would have special attack plays prepared and practiced for sucess, deligated for success. We should be so well prepared that we would always be seen as magicians and our opponents would always appear like they were 2 plays behind us... I want the Pittsburgh way back and dump these self destructed calls!!!!!!

The problem with this take is that it's predictable. Trap game is all you hear the week they play teams with bad records. Then, they play terrible and the coach makes bad decision after bad decision. I don't want Tomlin fired. I want him to show up for the "easy" games and make better decisions. That would end the trap game narrative.
