When #90 was asked why they played that way, he said 'We do what we are told"..That's all that needs said...The Steelers have lots of misdirected talent. As to what Muth said, he is either a cult member or just wants to keep his job knowing Tomlin will be back..maybe both. We might have had the chance to pick up Mccarthy to replace Tomlin..talk about Pittsburgh tradition..the Steelers would be a much better team with just a half decent head coach..we've known this for a decade or more now..its same ole same ole and i;m done with this..Feel bad for folks like DK who have really nothing to talk about re the Steelers anymore and have to find ways to be interested

If we're being honest, and I know it's a trite comment, nevertheless, Tomlin isn't a Super Bowl coach in my eyes, he won with Cowher's team and coaching staff. You'll notice at the beginning of his tenure, Rooney didn't trust Tomlin to pick his own staff and when in doubt, Dan Rooney TOLD Tomlin who his coaches would be (i.e. Todd Haley, Dick LeBeau, etc.). Once Art gave Tomlin control of the coaching staff and a greater role in player personnel, things went south quickly. Dan wouldn't have put up with this for so long. I agreed with Bradshaw when he said Tomlin's not a great coach, he's just an over praised cheerleader. I can't think of many other explanations to account for the demise of this "great" coach except what's plain to see right in front of all of us. Bad decisions, bad schemes, bad game management, bad draft picks, misused personnel, etc..... I feel the same about him now as I did the day he was hired: he's a slick tounged huckster who talked his way into a job and by the time he was exposed, it was too late to admit the mistake. Just double down and keep spitting out the catchy platitudes to distract everyone from the carnage. The longer he's had control over decisions, the worse things have gotten.

@ - I hear you, I just don’t think a meaningful boycott is possible by the math. The Steelers comment section is full of anti-Tomlin sentiment but we all know there’s a huge faction of Tomlin supporters in hiding-they’ll happily buy those tickets as will opposing fans. As for merch-sure, a bit. The real money is in the TV deals and that’s the problem… That’s why I think the only protest that moves the needle is gathering and chanting-feel free to skip the overpriced foods and drinks and call that part of it too.

Thank you DK and Chris. They were not coached up for the game and could not adjust. Out dated coaching. They should have adjusted on the first drive of the Ravens. Mike Tomlin is not a stupid man hence his no-trade clause in his contract. I have been a big Tomlin fan. I have nothing but respect and admiration for him, but he is too stubborn to change, too much of a micromanaging \control freak, and won't let the other coaches do their job! I think it's time for him to move on and it pains me to say it!

In the absence of any real knowledge of how to run a team, he appears to have just adhered to The Steeler Way and blindly followed what his family before him did without any real understanding of how and why they did those things. He's just mimicking what worked for them. Dan, on the other hand, seemed an insightful and intelligent man who understood, and had the gumption to, step in when necessary and make changes. Art doesn't seem to have a clue. Just my thoughts....

There is still one more thing we can do to get a new coach, but we have to sacrifice the 2025 season to do it. You guys are stuck on the offense. The offense is a work in progress. The OL will be completely rebuilt the past two seasons. The WR room was thin. We knew that. Chris said the offensive scheme is outdated. You saw the offense the Steelers want to run. Trouble is it was Baltimore that ran it! Not one mention about the highest paid player on the team not having a statistic for his last 124 snaps. Even by accident he should get an assist tackle. Not one mention about our "Pro Bowl" safety and his season of awful play. The offense or lack of it should be a very small part of the discussion. The real question is how can a defense that was basically healthy and supposedly so talented be so non existent with the exception of Cam Heyward. At a certain point you just have to say " just play f'n football ". They didn't!

You know what’s crazy is I was always under the understanding that the ravens from there beginnings model their franchise after the Steelers then the rest of the north tried to incorporate the philosophy just to beat the Steelers. With Tomlin the players get a friend, tolerance for childish immature behavior, fake accountability, early end of season vacations, if your a defender, you get over paid...so why would these guys want a real coach who would expect and demand performance, who would hold them accountable for their play, who would hold them accountable for their behavior on and off the field, who would possibly extend the season with playoff wins which means more work for them. They don't want that. Thats why they love playing for Tomlin. Its either that or Mike Tomlin has developed an unusual unfounded loyalty with these guys like long time high school buddies or something. He's got them brain washed. Soooooooooo........................ I know its easy for me to say this, a lifelong 58 yr old fan living in NC, but the reality is, "money talks"...like I stated in a previous post I will not spend any of my hard earned money on merch for this team until I see Rooney take this team seriously. I used to wear my steeler gear around town proudly, I haven't done that lately because its mildly embarrassing, and with Rooney and Tomlin I don't see it getting any better. I am not advocating for a massive boycott, this is just my intent, its my personal protest for bringing Tomlin back next year. Tomlin sucks!

Lots of problems stemming from the Head Coach. Having our edge rushers rush from the same spot all game every game, like in the Lloyd/Greene days, that's a problem. Not allowing any of our QBs to throw the ball around is a problem. Not finding an effective run game with an offensive line scheme that works with the players we have, that's a problem. Not making adjustments during and between games is a problem. Not being able to get past Tom Brady and Belichik at least half the times we played in the playoffs with Ben7, that's a problem. Etc etc.
