We have listened to thousands of interviews. There is an accepted flow and good reason for it. The real info finds it's way through subtly where it becomes informative, interesting and without the disruption that comes from going on blast. They will be okay.

@@bonzocleach2496 Whether it's silly or not... whether it's warranted or not... the fact is that this _controversy_ has brought far more eyes to the WNBA than Clark's playing by itself. Highlighting (exacerbating) the beef between her and other players has been remarkably successful. Sports marketers use heroes and villains all the time to gain popularity. The league is holding her back. Nixxed her from US Olympics, 3-pt contest and whatever else she'd likely slay. Her passing/assists to Boston and other teammates is spectacular! This game has all the makings of a very strong WE told you moment, one where the US Team management and the WNBA, might just be shown how much of the disrespect shown to Clark by them is not warranted at all and might just show how stupid they are. If Clark and company light up the US team, this all depends on how much time Clark gets on the court. Clark will be spoon-feeding players who know how to receive a pass, shoot 2Pt, 3Pt and make layups, Clark will be spoon Feeding - Boston (f we know how that goes), Jonquel Jones (C), Nneka Ogwumike (F) Kayla McBride (G 3pt 42.7%), Brionna Jones (F 53% FG) Arike Ogunbowale (G) This has the makings of being a long night of the old-school players and the US Coach.

@johnnaylor1706
@johnnaylor1706 2 ай бұрын
In the "ole days" it wouldn't but the accepted current definition is "There is some judgment involved in deciding whether a passer should be credited with an assist. An assist can be scored for the passer even if the player who receives the pass makes a basket after dribbling the ball for a short distance" and ...."An assist can occur if a player receives a pass and dribbles for a “short distance” before scoring. "While there is no definitive rule on how many dribbles are allowed for an assist to count, it appears that the consensus is if the pass leads to a score in 2 or less dribbles, it counts as an assist." She shot came after 2 dribbles.

so.... let's.... *gestures to Wilt Chamberlain* Dude was so far beyond everyone else in the league, athletically/tallishly, and he only shot 54% from the field for his career, superb ~30 ppg (on 22.5 shots/gm) with an accompanying and absurd ~23 rpg. And here he is considered a top-3 player all-time by a whole lot of everyone that weren't part of "born after Seinfeld went off the air", if not best ever, particularly by those that witnessed him. Okay. Reese, OTOH, doesn't have anything close to a Wilt-like physical superiority, relative to the league she plays in, going for her, but she's getting dumped on a whole lot across the intertubes. /though. tangentially. if the stilt really did have sex with over 20,000 women i have to bow to him for that sort of kingship //to summarize, i'm just sayin' that there are some serious considerations from your angle of critique ///anyhow clark is a great player too

Clark's critics' only argument now is "but, but the turnovers, all time high" Yes it is a lot of turnovers but when she's on pace to break an assist record that tends to drive up turnover numbers. And betting that many of the fans crying about her turnovers are Lebron fans. Lebron who has set the all time record for turnovers in the NBA.

As an Aussie sports nut I previously had virtually zero interest in the US WNBA. However I like to think I know a future champion and a ‘once in a generation’ super star when I see one. She is the epitome of a whole team player with a unquestionably super elite skill set and The WNBA seriously needs to surf the wave of this girl’s unique charisma, talent & popularity and do it pronto. The swelling fan base even over here is testament to that.

When I watch Caitlin play I see shades of Larry Bird. She may do for the WNBA what Bird and Magic did for the NBA in the 80's.

Field goal means attempted shots in total. So if you attempted 15 field goals and made 10 yours 10/15 from the field or 10/15 FG

Im all for Caitlin rocking the wnba, but please explain how @0:23 into the video that step back three is not a travel? That was 3 full steps! NBA has the same issues, but an offensive game is an exciting game... they'll call it how the money flows

Ok so take away a three. B.F.D. one mere mistake doesn't kill her. C'mon, quit your armchair rant. Give the girl credit for a phenomenal season.nif that is your problem, pard, you got no problem. Sit back and chill baby chill

Caitlin is what that league should be loaded with not what is there now then people would go to watch the games. Right now without Caitlin it's at best a "C" class sport that needs to be subsidized by the NBA !

Caitlin Clark is set a new history to what agenda can really do if you choose the right one. All if. You just Be yourself instead of trying to be Something else. She's truly additional. She's truly traditional and I love her for being just her booya

Hate to be this guy, but what are the rules to qualify assists? The earlier clip had CC passed it to AB, but she dribbled twice before laying it up; Is it like just a momentum thing, where as long as the receiver's intent is to lay it up or shoot it right away it don't matter if she dribbled more than once? Or does it disqualify once the receiver holds the ball for a second or do those triple threat (jab, shot fake,etc)

At minute 8:36 one can get a good look at Clark's massive right-arm triceps ("triceps" is singular and plural). She has the same on her left arm but the pose does not show it. Those are her shooting and passing muscles. It's no wonder that she can pass the ball so far as so fast. The are push-passes and chest-passes, not the overarm football or baseball passes.
