'HeavyHitter' DJ Pretty Lou, the unstoppable force, emerged victorious against aplastic anemia and leukemia, defying the odds to become cancer-free. This is why we are excited to partner with The Pretty Lou Foundation to expand and diversify the donor registry for blood cancer and blood disorder patients.
NYC Hot 97's "HeavyHitter" Luis Ortega, better known as Pretty Lou, has been a dominant force in NYC's nightclub scene as the #1 party host and DJ. However, his journey took an unexpected turn when he was diagnosed with aplastic anemia, a rare bone marrow disease that disrupted the production of new blood cells. This challenging condition then progressed to leukemia.
With his unwavering resilience and determination, we celebrate the incredible news that Pretty Lou is in remission and cancer-free!
