Comedian DL Hughley returned to VladTV to discuss a variety of topics that have occurred since his last sit-down. He started by addressing the recent accusations against Diddy and criticized those who are aware of bad conduct but choose to stay silent or even aid the accused. The comedian also talked about the legal issues of other celebrities, such as Jussie Smollett, Tory Lanez, Keefe D, and Jonathan Majors. He also offered his thoughts on Jada Pinkett, Chris Rock, Keke Palmer, and the public argument between T.I. and his son. To hear more, check out the full interview above.

This interview was so engrossing. I kept checking how much time was left. I love nothing more than being privy to a conversation between two intelligent critical thinkers, who are ok with disagreeing, ok with learning and having their assumptions tested. DL Hughley is a smart man, he is a thinker first and foremost and he has made the point of being informed. You can tell the man is a voracious reader, always learning. We have too many people who so quick to argue, quick to have opinions having never bothered to research the topic on which they hold such a strong opinion. Please can we research, we have tools at our disposal to learn and yet we choose to use X and Facebook and the like to inform our views of the world. It's simply not good enough, anymore. We all deserve better. The world is passing us by and we sit here wondering why we have no voice.

You have to understand it from the mindset of the receiver of the abuse, not from the physicality and action to just leave the abuser. When people are manipulated, emotionally spent, used, physically & verbally abused, and threatened to the point they feel an absorbent amount of guilt, shame and humiliation and rendered powerless (whether real or perceived) before you know it 10 years have passed. From what I've read, Cassie did attempt to leave Diddy , and even attempted to date other people; however, when you have money and power ( and goons) she was always sucked right back in. Secondly, just because you leave someone physically does not mean you have left the relationship emotionally. Cassie was not the only woman he treated that way. Kim Porter and other's have received the same treatment ( allegedly, while others witnessed the abuse). Diddy, like other abusers are also good with "Crumbing" as well. In other words, he showers the ladies with with gifts, professes his undying love on talk shows, whisks them away on luxurious trips, shopping sprees etc., and we as women, we tend to hold onto the good and the empty promises that this time he really will change.... Unfortunately, in most cases, long term, it just doesn't happen.

It’s called they’ve been manipulated and misguided. Their entire mentality is messed up…These people get in your mind first. You gotta know that once your mind gone some people don’t come back from it. Cassie is blessed to still be alive any survivors are! So many people lose their lives simply because they didn’t want to go along with what their partner wanted them to do.

Yes....Cassie was controlled by him. After he almost killed her in a hotel room and she escaped, she then ran back. The hotel employees told her to leave that time, but she was terrified of what would come next for her escaping. Being that drugged, sexually and physically abused, I don't know how she functioned at all let alone get away. He was still seeing Kim Porter and their kids in the house in Toluca Lake, the same one she died in. She never thought the time would come he'd harm her. I'm glad Cassie got out alive. Abusive relationships cause so much pushing / pulling of emotions.

I was thinking the same thing. They also have no idea about the work you must do to pick yourself up and try to have a decent life. THAT takes up all of your time. You aren't thinking of retribution out the gate. If your abuser is about to become a Supreme Court Judge and is now in charge of ruling on things that will affect your life and others, you have to retraumatize yourself because you feel it's the responsible thing to do. That work takes years.

Interesting interview. While I get what they are saying, it is very clear that men do not know what being violated, especially sexually, and especially by a rich and powerful person with teams of people on their side, does to someone. Even being violated by someone who does not have a lot is still devastating.

I absolutely LOVE DL! I have always been a fan. This interview was spectacular! I love his perspective on current events. After the Katt interview broke the internet, the first thing I put in the search was "Katt Williams DL Hughley." Sadly, he didn't have too much to say on the matter. WHY, VLAD did I have to watch tiny little segments of the interview when you had this one right here??

I never listen to them when they say bullshit like that. Of course if I'm rich I'll pay the damn bills but we seem to forget that most people are not rich! And there's no shame in that. I don't think there's ever been a time in history with more celebrity worship than we have today.
