My daughter came out at 21, and what happened with us is I had family members telling her that I would not accept HER! Which was absolutely not true. She is my only child. When I found out through others I had a conversation with her and I was honest with her. I told her that I thought our relationship was better than that. That she cld tell me anything. I let her know my hurt was because she didn't trust me enough to tell me. I told her whatever she did it would never ever take away my unconditional love for her. And we had problems because my oldest sister penetrated the worst in her mind. We are better now, but I will not for the rest of my life at 65 be unhappy, because she doubts that I don't agree with her lifestyle. I've given my daughter much love, been there when no one else was! Hugged, kissed, and gave.
