So you're suggesting that black men's should bow down, because the consequences would be much harder than keeping your self respect?????? Also the only black males who are tired of hearing about masculinity is the ones who are not masculine and manly, and those who are homosexuals; but yet even homosexuals want masculine men's, why do you think DL gay men's are almost always buffed and body building. The problem with a small majority of black people's these days is they are mimicking the analysis and the counsel of whites imaginary psychological mental science instead of facing up to the simple and plain old truth that doesn't need any accuses nor explanations. This is why we have openly, unashamed and unapologetic homosexuals and femininized black males running at a all times high in society today, and it's because men's don't want to be masculine and manly anymore, and that's because they have been counseled by the whites imaginary psychological mental science instead of seeing the truth that they were built to be the protectors, the builders, the providers and the leaders. Hell, we all at some point in life want to step away from our position and calling, but we know we got a job to do and a role to fill; but once you get to a place and feel that you can't do your job nor fill your role as a man it's times up here in this life, when the prophet Elijah got tired of people's and didn't want to be a prophet over those hard headed people's anymore The Most High GOD YAH called him home and replaced him with another prophet. Men's who no longer wants to be men's has no place in this world, if you keep them around they will corrupted and taint the next generation of males being birthed into this world, then after while nobody will know what a real masculine male is nor what he's suppose to be, nor his purpose and role in life; we will end up with a Sodom and Gomorrah in full affect. I'm beginning to believe that this was the white man's strategic plan all along beginning with take over of native Indians land to provide a place for the kidnapped African Males and females in order to begin the long process of changing black men's into the homosexuals and eventually turning them into the opposite sex literally through and by scientific means. Oh, the evil that nests in the hearts and minds of white supremacy, they be the inventors of evil things, and they have become and is becoming more wiser to do evil. What Francis Cess W. Said long ago is still true, it's all about the white males fear of being blacked out, because he can't keep up nor compete with the dominant race of black genes. Whites have tried to genocide us, starve us, even speak out to the laws of attraction over us in always saying "Blacks are more susceptible to this or that disease, or we have a higher percentage of this or that social disease ". But none of them worked, so now they have gone back to their original plan of homosexuality, because the only true way to end black people's procreating with one another is to remove the desire between black males from his black women's and cause them to burn with lust towards another black man. Sorry for the novel, but there's so much to say and to be revealed, and what I've said doesn't even scratch the surface to the depths and layers of evil that white supremacy has gone to destroy us blacks while trying to keep it hidden and twisted in lies, deceptions, trickery, smiles, handshakes, and wrapped gifted horses.

Here’s the thing... as a black man, it’s a known fact that no matter the circumstances, when someone of the opposite race, who has clout, or has major pull as a public figure, he/she is gonna come out on top, regardless of how wrong they are. Terry Crews, could of easily split dude’s skull open, with his bare hands, but where of that had gotten him. Terry’s wife, kept him from retaliating, and that’s understandable. He’s made that case clear when he had to go in front of congress during the whole ME TOO, hearing. Let’s be honest, Terry Crews, has been ridiculed for his status as a black man, long before this situation. My opinion, I think he expressed his frustration about the comments made by the Black Hollywood Community, in a wrong fashion, particularly at DL Hughley, who just simply gave his opinion on how he would’ve handled the situation. DL wasn’t wrong for what he said at all. His comments were just taking out of proportion by, Terry Crews. Maybe, he’ll re-evaluate what he said, in response to DL’s comments

I think Crew is upset because he believed his fellow black brothers would support his stance and his reasoning for handling the situation in a non-violent matter. Crews said his wife stopped him from using violence. It is horrible when anyone is violated. So making jokes of the offense is as abusive as the sexual assault. Crews is getting tired of the jokes and opinions of people who don't know how they would respond. This is why victims stay victims because of the negative team

@Rob Vollat dude gtfoh! Terry should've manned up instead of coming out #meetoo style. You ever hear of women shielding their man from gunfire? So do not lump Terry "punk ass" Crews with child, elderly, handicapped/mental impairment persons, and women victims. Sorry, not even in the same universe.

when you make something public people are entitled to their opinion. Nowhere did he shame the victim or say someone shouldn't be held accountable. So are we going to ignore the fact that Terry Crews never said he was going to slap DL Hughley? Terry asks the question is a slap the way to respond to toxic behavior. I say he never threaten him and the title of this video and the new is just pitting two black men against each other. Nothing wrong with DL stating his opinion saying he would have slapped the man. That what everyone says and that is what everyone thinks they will do when they respond to be assaulted. If a famous fighter like Rhoda Rousey got sexually assaulted in the same way would it be ok just to tell her, to punch her the person as well? It takes a lot more strength to not respond with anger.

I am a DL fan, I agree with much of what he says and I understand what he’s saying here. But I don’t think we should lose sight of the fact that black men are forced to think twice before reacting with violence and aggression, we already know it can cost them their welfare, freedom or life. This is true for black men much more so than any other race of men. Add size to that and it’s an even more dangerous mix. Under these circumstances, I can understand the position that Terry Crewes may have been in. I think black men may have a load of stories where they’ve had to let something go to survive, something they’ve felt violated and or humiliated by. But I guess this interesting idea of masculinity doesn’t allow many men to come out and admit it. Love or hate Mr. Crewes he’s started a valuable debate. Black men are allowed to be vulnerable in all kinds of ways and they deserved our support, rather than our judgement or derision.

Terry Crews DID physically intervene in his situation. He grabbed the man’s hands and pushed him backwards so hard that they went through a few people at the function they were attending. He then went and got his wife (she was unaware of the situation, as it had not happened “in front of” her), they left and he told her what happened. Like many here, I probably would have gone further than Crews did. But in hindsight, Crews’ reaction and eventual path turned out to be the best. Him physically injuring the Hollywood big shot probably wouldn’t have gone his way, and the resultant explanation of why he did it would have certainly been met with a lot of skepticism and doubt. He might have even been sued and/or blackballed in Hollywood. Any number of bad endings could have resulted that would have skewed the narrative and worked against him. I can’t say that I would have had the strength and restraint to NOT knock the guy’s block off. But I’m glad Terry was able to restrain himself and take the path he did, for his sake. I only hope if it ever happens to me, I can be that composed and forward thinking.

And also as a man, he should be prepared to deal with the legal consequences which would be incarceration...it’s not as cut and dry as people make it seem...natural masculinity is to defend at any means using physical strength, but when there is a corrupt legal system and institutionalized racism...natural masculinity may not work in your favor...so you have to play by the rules to protect yourself, otherwise you will be placed in a cold cell, with horrible conditions, away from your family...,

Most situations cannot be solved by brute force but its always so easy to say what I would have done when it didn't happen to you. That man thought about his consequences of his actions and how it would affect his and his family's life and that is very admirable....like how many black men had to shut their mouth while a cop, gangbanger, thug, rascist, abusive woman did something to them and they had to RESTRAIN themselves just to make it out alive...It is never the victims fault.

DL is right: Stand up for yourself, and don't give money someone who's done you wrong. BUT here is where DL is WRONG: 1 . Terry sued the agency, the lawsuit was settled, and Terry's former agent lost his job. Terry got new representation, he didn't keep paying the agent. This is EXACTLY the outcome DL was arguing for. In fact, Terry got paid! 2. Terry admits he did everything he could to stop the sexual assault without being violent, but DL says Terry didn't do enough to fight the guy's advances. That's like saying "Well, she didn't hit him, so she must've asking for it." DL is blaming Terry for his actions, and not Venit (the agent) for his. DL's comments are just secondary victimization. 3. DL says to Terry, "That's different than slapping the sh-- outa him", which is essentially advocating physical violence. Since when the hell does using physical violence work in favor of a black man in America? If the agent had pressed charges on Terry for assault and battery, who would win out? The black man or the white guy? If Terry lost his job and/or went to jail, who would find him work to pay his way? DL? 4. Terry NEVER threatened DL. Terry's RESPONSE to DL's comment about using violence essentially breaks down to a conversation that goes like this: You (DL) are telling me (Terry) to use physical violence to fend off another man's sexual advances on me. I didn't welcome his advances, but I knew I wasn't in physical danger and getting violent could have ruined everything I ever worked for. Now, YOU are verbally assaulting me over what Venit did. Venit was mad at me because I didn't let him in my pants, and you're mad at me because I didn't get violent when Venit tried to get in my pants. Why is your anger more righteous then Venit's? If you're telling me I should've slapped the sh-- Venit for his assault on me, "Should[n't] I slap the sh-- out of you[ for your assault]?" It is seems so illogical that a man, esp. big strong intimidating black man, could be a victim of sexual harassment that it's easy to blame him for not doing enough to protect himself by any means necessary, even violence. After all, isn't violence what strong black men are known for? DL says he's happy to see that strong black man like Terry comes forward to talk about his sexual harassment so that folks can see it can happen to anyone, but then DL then turns around and bashes Terry for essentially not 'being man enough' to violently stop Venit's sexual advances. Terry didn't use excessive force, and then is accused of being too soft. WTH!?!? Isn't this exactly the kind of behavior we want from people, including the police? Terry never threatened DL, and DL is wrong to advocate the unnecessary use of violence. DL wants to talk about keeping it consistent...? Why not start by blaming the offender and not the victim, whether a meager woman or strong black man? Terry was too smart to risk his livelihood, and gets ridiculed for being open and honest about his life experiences... smh

Many people on here don't get it. When someone makes an inappropriate sexual advance the victim can be in shock in that moment. Terry obviously didn't feel physically threatened but knew he was being threatened in some other way. Since then Terry had the time to actually break down to himself in what way he was victimized. Because he was able to articulate he did so in support of other victims. He took a risk when he did this. The proof is right here. Even if you are the type to automatically ball up your fist and start swinging you would still process later and see how you were victimized; you'd still be able to break it down for people. Terry shared in support of others who have experienced the same. Instead of stopping to think about who Terry's statements were benefiting DL impulsively took an opportunity to showboat and make it all about his own bravado clearly at Terry's expense. And where does that leave these woman who can't simply knock out their predators with one punch??? Again, Terry had time to process what bothered him about DL"s statement and determined that he can offer DL a slap. He basically offered the same bravado DL was implying Terry didn't have. Now DL is acting like the victim and you all have a fucking problem with Terry??? Stupid. Clearly none of you are perfect either. ;)

Fa sure, the initial reaction is to beat the blood out of the white man for violating you but he would of slapped that white man n went to jail although he had the right to G-check him. And none of ya would of sent him commissary. As for what he said to D.L. he said it not as threat but as a question, read the comment n study the way he said it. Finally, you could see that his comment was made because he not only respected D.L. but he felt he would of received support for his decision to handle it the legal way. I respect the manly response to a violation like that but as Black men we are on the losing side when it comes to interactions with white people n Terry saw that too bad ya brothers or gangstas don't see it.

DL wasn't talking about Terry AT ALL though. Terry was brought up as an example and DL gave his two cents on how he was brought up. Terry is the one making it personal and trying to police other people's opinions - tweeting shit out instead of talking to DL person to person like an adult - knowing that mainstream people love to shame/cancel anyone who has their own take. I think less of Terry for his response to DL than I ever could for him not hitting a guy for assaulting him.

Too stupid. DL playin' stupid. I bet Terry could slap the stupidness right out of any stupid one too stupid to see that Terry played it correctly. If Terry would have resorted to Slappin down sum gay white guy, he would have been arrested, blackballed and unemplyoed. Ya'll stupid
