I’m glad you showed your process. These delays and verbs can be hard to get just right. So many KZbin guitarists only show the perfect takes and people get disappointed when the pedal doesn’t work perfectly right off the bat. You’re showing how the process of finding these great sounds work. It’s appreciated !

Those Glitch delay sounds are so great yet touchy. I find they can really work but only in very certain situations. I also like making my own loops and reversing them while slowing and speeding them up getting a similar sound.

There seems to be a clarity in the different delay modes that I appreciate. This has a lot of what I like about the Mooer Ocean Machine. I like that you can put the delay and reverb before or after the looper. This is also a more robust piece and is new. Mooer doesn't seem to acknowledge the existence of the Ocean Machine anymore. I might have to try this one instead.
@shitmandood Жыл бұрын
Ocean Machine was basically a Devin Townsend signature ambient pedal. I’m not sure why you would buy another pedal that does the same thing as Ocean just because MOOER no longer makes it. I still have mine and it works great! I also like that it’s a signature model. Devin has some great examples of how to use it (also on this one). All I have to do is rewatch those videos to remember why I got it. Although I do like the look and sound of this Line 6 pedal, for me it’s hard to justify getting it with all the overlap. Aside from the Ocean, I’ve got a Raster 2, a Zoom, and the Plethora FX which is stuffed with delay types. Then there’s the various VSTs.

I know I'm late in the game but I just started exploring the Looper as nicely demonstrated by this excellent tutorial. I can roughly reproduce the sound of the drone part of the looper. I followed each and every step that Bill described. However, when I hit the Tap button to start recording (with the Tap button now red) and play a few notes, it starts looping before I hit the Tap button to end it. So it becomes all messed up because I am not done playing all the notes in the sequence I would like to play. I set Mix to fully counterclockwise to have no delays for that part and just have the Particle Reverb that Bill used. I did try to record an empty stretch (wasn't sure why he did that if the memory was cleared prior). Am I missing something? Thanks.

Is it possible to control the delay parameters with an expression pedal on this unit? I want to be able to change the time and feedback settings in real time while playing solos to get a wavering pitch shift sound similar to what Fredrik Thordendal does on his solo album Special Defects.
@chordsoforion11 ай бұрын
Although I have not actually tried it out, the manual does provide instructions for controlling one or more parameters with an expression pedal (and MIDI too). So I would say that the answer is "yes".

Forgive me if I missed it, but Bill, how do I erase (undo) loops after I have created them? I cannot find this information anywhere. Thanks again!
@chordsoforion2 жыл бұрын
It appears that you can't delete a loop while in 4 button looper mode, other than recording a short clip over it. In the one button looper mode that I demoed, you hit play and just keeping holding the button until the loop deletes. Kind of like the original Ditto looper.

Definitely ask Sweetwater. They will be able to give you more information about their marketing program and how they work with "influencers". Sometimes companies approach me, and sometimes I approach them. In this case, I asked Sweetwater to send me this pedal because a bunch of folks asked me to demo it, and I want to bring value to my viewers by working with gear they are interested in. But other times, I purchase gear (like the recent Strat and Ibanez guitars) to achieve my musical goals, and I share that part of my journey too.

@@chordsoforion Also you should do a follow up to the video of your daughters, or wife, selecting a pedal chain based on the "looks" of the pedals. I found that to be one of your funniest and best videos. As a musician we basically do all the same chains so it was hilarious to see them make a "chain" for you... and your reaction.

You do realize that no one gets a pedal for “free” - it’s an exchange of a service. Creating videos and editing them takes a lot of time and work. This video and the editing took more of his time than the pedal is even worth.
