I have had a comparable copyright-claim (by LatinAuthorPerf) for some background-music i used in one of my songs. I have done some music using midi-files of Bach and Beethhoven, and played it with synthesizers, one of this songs was in the background of a Tutorial-video, but at very low volume. The thing is that KZbin is forced to scan videos for such possible copyright-things and automatically send this things. Normally you answer the thing, wtite that its a false positive. The only negative thing is that the copyright-claimer (LatinAutorPerf in my case) has 30 days to react, in this days the monetarization is disabled.

I came across this as I'm looking at buying one. I thought the sounds from the BW were much better in your initial review of the pedal. In this review I hear a "clicking sound" (dont know how else to describe it) from the BW for both single notes and chords? Any comment? Thanks for taking the time to put this together!

I set this up exactly how you did but am getting a bit of a weird washy sound and the effects make it worse. Thought my noise gate was too low, so I set a higher threshold, but still getting it. Any idea what's causing that and how to get rid of it?

Is this tuned like a 6 string bass or a 6 string guitar? Sounds amazing

Quintessence seemed to have less latency than IHM. Heard this in the first few minutes playing <6mins. Quintessence seems to track very well with notes played whereas to my ears IHM wrt Q seemed sloppy tracking. Up to 7.59 now. However, I'm wondering if the IHM tracking is being thrown by the harmonics/overtones presented by the aggression of the plectrum. This poor tracking might be concealing other sound qualities of the IHM which gets me wondering how each of these pedals would sound if the guitar string notes where activated by the Ebow? Now at 10.28 the overall Q sound sounds lacking in body/perhaps 'muddy' compared with the sound delivered by the IHM. IHM shudders at one point after this... 12.25 Q sounds 'thin' ...16.15 and plus Q sounds sweet! A desirable tone.

I mostly use your channel as a resource for pedal reviews because I actually trust your opinion, whereas 95% of KZbin channels I just view as being blanket ads. I make ambient music, and sometimes I use guitar pedals. When I need to choose between options, your more in-depth videos have helped with that a great deal. What I'd like to see most, and I know this adds time and scope, is whenever you do a pedal review about a pedal, do a segment with a shootout with other pedals that may be similar. If you can't do it due to a sponsorship on a particular vide, perhaps do a follow-up video shot in situ with a comparison. One example I can bring up is your latest EHX Pog III video. I would have loved to have a sound comparison to the POG II with thoughts on who would benefit either way, and perhaps a dive into who should buy a POG versus a Pitch Fork. Honestly, I don't know if I should get a POG series or a Pitchfork series pedal and have wrestled with the decision for a while. That kind of video would be very valuable to me, especially with all the newer options that have come out in the last couple of years. Just always keep in mind that the whole equation is wrapped around adding value and having integrity. I know you do add value and have integrity, otherwise I wouldn't watch at all. Just a reminder. It's easy to get lost.

I LOVE your videos Bill! Was curious as to what you were using for distortion here & what reverb/delay you were using to get that sustained/smeary cello kind of sound(ebow?)…thanks again!
@chordsoforion3 күн бұрын
The distortion was not really - it was the EHX LPB-3 boost pedal into a Strymon Iridium. The delay of course was the Flashback Triple. The reverb was a Strymon BigSky.

I'm getting my Gibson Les Paul classic setup for 432 hz so I get no string buzz because there is a little bit less tension with 432 HZ which could cause the neck to bow. I was playing clean on 432 hz about a week ago and a grasshopper came out from under the oil burner and was just so enchanted and I was like what the heck is going on here and trusted me...

This is so awesome, thank you for this informative demonstration!! I’m not quite understanding how the FX send/return part works, how does the signal flow work for that feedback loop? Specifically what you were saying around 3:50, like where does the FX return from the Mixer get sent, back into tape deck 1? Thank you!!

The distortion causes pitch tracking difficulties, which result in fairly large chunks of artifacts in more technical passages. Pitch tracking a clean monophonic signal, will definitely produce better pitch tracking results in both pedals. I would definitely run a fuzz circuit after a harmonizer circuit. JMHO. I'm looking for a really nice pitch-tracking harmonizer to run on the outputs of a few monophonic synthesizers, with my own Germ fuzz before the mixer, in the studio. Very likely going with this Quint. I have messed with a bunch of harmonizers, and the Quint seems to have the most accurate pitch tracking, at it's used price. Fuzzed harmonies are super sexy..... Also, I really appreciate your detailed demos.

Wow, that is some pedal! What would it do for a classical nylon string Takamine? Best wishes:-}

I don't think it would be very effective on a classical guitar with a pickup. More designed for increasing gain into a guitar amp.

You got the Guitar sounding like a Flute toward the end. Love to hear it through a 1 vol 1 tone amp or even a single Volume 50s Champ, it would take off into space! I have the basic LP-1 and use it to get my Orange AD15 to really overdrive at very low volume for practice and jamming and recording but putting those nifty tone shapers in there was long overdue. Good for bass Guitar too. Boring looking but all good tools are.

Might be too late for an old dog to learn new tricks, but I would love to hear you incorporating Vai’s “circular” vibrato into your playing. It’s sorta a combo slow vibrato/tremolo he does that I think just really adds an extra dimension of beauty to the finger work. I tried it a bit when I still played guitar, and it definitely isn’t as easy as it looks! But it’s just such a “pro” sound.
@Napoleonwilson19736 күн бұрын
I’d rather see Gary Moores vibrato, Moore simply had way more feeling and dynamics in his playing, Vai is a great technical player no doubt but Moore had the X factor.
@chordsoforion6 күн бұрын
It's never too late to learn! Vai's technique is very cool for sure - and worth practicing. One of the things that I add to almost every note I play is what I sometimes think of as "vertical" vibrato. I vary finger pressure, which slightly affects the pitch of the notes. It's one of the reasons why I generally prefer taller frets.
