you can also select the opponent on some previous versions, you just have to wait for the yellow thing to hover on the opponent you want and press a (worked on md and snes)

I hate the voice acting in this one Arle sounds too way adult and it definitely doesn't fit, even the Puyo Puyo CD voice acting was better and the seiyuu they used for Arle was pretty fitting for her

FuriousTH Well, that's because Compile somewhat decided to plainly use the voice of their employees at the time, for the Saturn release. (No joke)
