I'm really shocked that there is no comments on this important topic. It's been one year with 1.6K views and no body commented on this. This is my first time commenting on any KZbin video but I do read other people's comments all the time. I have notice that many people comment on things in a way that you really don't benefit anything from. I do 100 % agree with Tristan and I have been lestning to his talks for the last 2 weeks and I have started conveying his message to everybody I can get to but my voice is very far from many people that I'm sure that this will change to way send time especially kids and youth.

I think this actually started with just giving people what they want, but it escalated out of control... than there is marketing and publicity making it all worse... I say we reset the internet ahahaha

Irony in the attention of the ever changing backdrop. It's an insightful and important point Tristan makes. We see a decline in the engagement of young people participating in outdoor adventure activities. A huge shift from social and team oriented activities such as white water rafting to individualistic activities such as paintball. Adventure activities are an effective way for people to develop and improve self awareness.

Check out Tristan's article in The International NYT today! It is spot on. Technology has captured so many human minds, especially the smartphone delivery of algorithm-guided ways for you to dedicate your mind each day to largely wasteful, if not harmful, endeavors.

Do you really think the app developers will consider," time well spent is more important than time spent on their app", they won't , they are here to make money and that's all that matters for them!!! The only way to increase time well spent is uninstalling the app .

It boils down to "what is the actual purpose of life?" Today people(including billionaires ) are worshiping greed and desires. There is nothing worthy of worship except God. If God is out of the equation,society will go astray slowly.
