Yes, unfortunately that combo was way more useful when it was a 3-hit true combo with dair, but it still has a minor use tho!

Jump into chase dodge can be hit true, but it requires frame perfect for the jump and chase dodge. I only know this because I jump first

Tbh I was trying, and the lowest i could get it was 2 frames, also i dont think jump cd is consistent as this buffering version. I strongly suggest learning this.

Extremely late to the party, but is this combo still viable? I heard it's frame perfect so I am not sure if its worth learning considering it might be too difficult to pull off in game. Really good guide though!

The combo is still doable. Now is it really worth it? Its not, UNLESS you are a stock behind and you are really good at gimping people off stage as this combo is mostly used for bringing them there.

It is not necessary that you need to know the combo in order to play gaunts, not a lot of people use it either way

I dont know if i got bad or im just stupid but i cant do the combo. It worked once for me. But its easier with the Jump first and then the cd nair. It is alot easier and basically does the same. Please change my mind if im wrong with something.

turn on stun duration, jump chase dodge is insanely hard to get it true. which means players can dodge out of it. Unlike Buffered chase dodge which is a 100% confirmed hit. It is hard and at the of the day, people who dont know the buffered version shouldnt go for nair at all, better combos would be dlight into dair or dlight into slight! Hope that helps

You can press W but I do it without anything cause if you dont input anything on the keyboard you basically get neutral attacks

When you do a dash you see the smoke trail, so when you see that smoke trail that you said to look for doesn't that mean it's a dash and not a chase dodge?

no, when you see a smoke and you did the inputs, buffered chase dodge + jump, that means you did it correctly and if you did nair, it would be a true combo!

You have to Cd while Dlight animation is ending and then jump into nair, to make it true

If you still need advice you should learn movement is the main thing, then with movement do punishing, and make sure to know most of your true combos
