I grew-up in the church but fell in with bad actors in my teenage years. I got addicted to cocaine and couldn't get out of it. I prayed to Jesus and He had mercy and delivered me. I can't even tell you the day or how it happened, I just realized one day that it was gone--that was 30 years ago. God decided to have mercy on me and I am eternally grateful. Many people I have known died in their sin and I am so sad about it. Today, I don't take my faith your granted, I nurture it as the precious gift that it is.

A simple application of logic destroys the doctrine of eternal torment.

You are right, we do not deserve heaven and it is a gift. But let's look at hell: True righteousness demands punishment. If you stand in court because you stole or raped someone, true righteousness requires punishment. The judge will give you a specific sentence according to what you have done. If this were not the case, people could be let out of prison right now (11,5 million) right now, and others could commit crimes like killing and raping without any consequences. In the same way, the Judge (God) of the universe must punish unrighteousness if He truly is a righteous Judge. When you stand before Him and He looks at every bad deed you have ever done, you may say, "But I did good deeds as well." Even a normal judge would say, "It doesn’t matter; you still stole and raped, so I need to be just and punish you for your evil deeds." The difference with God is that He came down and took that punishment on the cross for you already 2000 years ago because He loves you and does not want you to suffer it. You have a choice: You either accept this gift and show remorse for your evil deeds (repent) and turn away from your sin, or you reject it and take the punishment upon yourself. God gives you a choice because He loves you and won’t force you to accept Him.

Daniel, I'd like to know when you witness to people, what do you tell them on how they can be saved? What exactly is the gospel that Jesus told his disciples to go out and preach? The reason I ask this, is because there is quite a few different versions of being born again/saved! Some say repent and turn from sin, others say just to believe in Jesus, and others say to pray a simple prayer, or just ask/invite Jesus in your heart, etc. Can you elaborate on this? Read your Holy Scriptures please and study the WORD on your own. Before reading, pray to Yeshua for guidance and understanding. But if you want an overview, The gospel of Christ is about the salvation of mankind by accepting and following Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour that He made a sacrifice for humans to have a second chance to live in righteousness/holiness. When you believe in HIM, your hereditary and past sins before you accepted HIM would be cleansed. God's sacrifice does not give men any license to continue on sinning. If we believed in Christ, it should be manifested in our lifestyle, actions, words, gestures, appearance. We should be Holy inside and outside. Believing and accepting Christ is to follow Him..to obey His commandments. Faith should be followed by works. And please don't believe those people who say that " works "is NOT needed cause according to them we are saved by Grace. They don't understand the Word of God. Faith should have proof, it should have fruits...and that is WORKS. They didn't quite understand that, in that verse, " we are saved by grace, not by works, least anyone can boast" it was referring to a good natured person that does great deeds for hiS whole life but does not know his God and Saviour. Then his good deeds are for nothing, those great deeds cannot save him. A person should first believe and acknowledge his creator then works will follow to prove that he is truly willing to follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ. The " work " there was also referring to the law of Moses which is very hard to fulfill. We are free from it since Jesus fulfilled those laws for us and there is no need for humanity to follow those cause we are saved by the grace of God AND NOT by the WORKS OF THE LAW.

just like what i always say knowledge is a double edge sword it can give you great wealth in heaven or great punishment in hell, remember the parable of the 4 works with given talents, knowledge send Adam and eve out of Eden

I understand what you're saying here. In many ways I agree. However when you're born again you're no longer under condemnation. We will stand before Christ at the beam of seat. And Sam will suffer loss of reward. However some of the scriptures you have used I feel have different context related to inside and outside of Daniel 70th week Great tribulation. But those who are condemned and did not accept Christ to savior will be in hell for sure. And will suffer different levels of punishment I believe. But either way it's a place no one should ever want to go. But the contents to lukewarm not or hot or cold has a different context. Continual willful sin is a sign that someone probably doesn't really believe. There's a big difference between people who send occasionally but repent immediately and ask God for forgiveness. That is the sign of the changed heart and the Born again believer.
