I did about 50 of them a long time ago. Kept 2 . Sold 1 of them to a University Professor for 65 USD. It was placed in his collection for use in his electronic engineering classes. Some things are worth more than the gold they contain. 1/10th of a gram per DLP. I was paid 600 times the gold value

I did a run of these once...was only a handful of them. I had considered a ferric chloride leech... But im rather impatient and just boiled it in AR until everything but the ceramic was gone. Probably ended up using 4 or 5 times the amount of nitric I would have otherwise. Those were my early refining days. If I should come into any more of these and was to do it again I would probably try a peroxide and h2so4 solution to attack the iron... Being careful to have it watered down so i wouldn't make the flesh eating solution thats not supposed to be mentioned by name. This is a good video though. It didnt work how you thought it would and had to adjust your plan... Always good to see stuff like this with successful problem solving

At first pour smb and no urea why?

They didn't use a large excess of nitric mainly... The SMB will still get rid of the nitric you just have to use more of it to get the gold to drop. If you got a dirty solution its probably not the best way of doing it. But this is a relatively clean solution so it works fine

As far as I know adding extra water after giving SMB will not cause any problem. The next day, observe whether the gold sediment has settled at the bottom.
