Wow, this is the most spot-on Gaster theme I've heard. Great work! I really liked how you used elements of Papyrus' theme and Megalovania. Just one thing: I think also adding a reworked Alphys/True Lab theme (Or maybe even CORE) in the background somewhere would have sounded nice and been thematically appropriate.

I was thinking, more of the lines of "when you get to the surface, things aren't quite right". What I mean by this, is that there is a secret level in undertale called "surface" and it's all dark, and there are these weird red beings there. And there is where you find and fight gaster, than he explains all of this to you, and that's where you will become friends with him, and when you need him, he will be there for you. After the fight and convrasation, the surface is back to normal, that flowey tells you about the other ending, and in that other ending, Gaster sends a sort of "mentle singnal" to all your friends to come to the castle, from there you will fight Asriel, but what comes after that, I don't know.

hmmm....an obscure system of steps, hard to find but still available to the untrained eye, that would make either or both bonus levels playable? I love the idea of the surface world not only being a goal to work for, but something that you need to restore. Like, (Gaster or otherwise, idk idc) you would be brought to an area where you would need to solve an actual puzzle, much like the piano puzzle (maybe harder? Preferably harder), and there you would.... speak to someone or do something to open up a 'Save Asriel' possibility? Or even another permanent mistake you could make to alter your game altogether. Oooh! Wouldnt that be interesting? Saying that you were playing blind without anything spoiled, what if one of the choices completely shifted your timeline! Uhhh...like maybe your third time through or so, one of the casual things you discuss with Sans, or some easily forgettable NPC that has more than a few options has a consequence that can catch you off-guard, or potentially ruin the run you were going for. Or even better- something as bad as Chara's influence, except even more disastrous. Ehh? No? Okay. lol lookat me ramble.

I feel one day I'll turn on my undertale game and the game will be completely messed up/glitched out. Suddenly characters in the Wing Ding font appear with Gaster's text voice accompanied by this remix (or something like this) explaining how his experiment destroyed his existence and that he needs my soul to fix things. Sans whispers that there is still one more soul that I need to save, but he cannot tell me who or all of reality will be destroyed. This... This is the ??? cover I've been looking for. it maintains the creepy feel of the original and its like Gaster is right in front of you telling you his story of how he came to be a glitch within the game files. I have found many other great covers of this theme, but man, this takes the gold medal! :)

(Spoils along with my thoughts, and please dont judge me on what i think or get mad at if anything is off or you disagree.) I wonder how most people see Gaster as. I feel everybody sees him, as a creepy, dead spooky character that is evil. But i honestly dont feel that way about him. Along with his head (I think its just a mask, a hard, broken mask to cover his face) But I see him as a mysterious creature that isnt as creepy as we think, mostly because of his theme. I see it as wondrous, or magical, maybe he is a magical being? Not a monster? A scientist that is only mysterious to us, but probably not as mysterious to Toriel or Asgore. (Along with you the player and Asriel. Probably) That being said, they never even mention him. (Out of those characters at least) The reason im making this comment is because it looks like people make him out to be almost like a creepy pasta (From the videos ive watched at least) BUT Its also very possible that, despite all the questions surrounding him along with the evidence that he is even there he could also be not necessarily untrue but just scraped the idea of him, or Toby Fox couldn't make any better connections with him and ran out of ideas, or purposely did that to screw with us. dont know, but, I would like to believe that he was once in that world, just less, creepy or dangerous as people make him to be (Even if the boats person said "Beware of the man who speaks with hands"). Another idea, since his text or font is so different, maybe different world? Maybe he created some type of portal in which he made it so that he could go through then destroyed it or it was destroyed (because you know, he IS just that smart). Also comes with the question, if he worked for Asgore and was his scientist how would Asgore understand him? No other monsters in the Underground speak like that or even close. They all speak the same. I donno, probably just over thinking it. or my way of just trying to make seance of things... (Uh oh, here comes people criticizing and grammar corrections, but, I would like to hear everybody elses thoughts on this matter. that is if you actually read this and agree or have other ideas.)

Going with the idea that he is a magical being, Deltarune makes me think that, due to his implied connection to the Dark World, which appears to be some sort of "Dream Realm", perhaps Gaster is like some sort of "Dream" entity, neither real nor unreal. Basically, I think he might be the Undertale/Deltarune equivalent to DC Comics Dream of the Endless. I do think he has some have some lucifer elements too, as well as a few similarities to Homestucks Doc Scratch and Calliope. The only other character I think that matches his mysteriousness is Chara, who I strongly believe also has some sort of connection to him and Deltarune due to some secret text in both games.

There are actually quite a few similarities between Homestucks cherubs and Gaster / Chara. Both cherubs, Calliborn and Callipope, die in a sense and are reborn, Calliope as a ghostly wanderer of Paradox Space (I. e Gaster and the Dark World) and Calliborn as an unstoppable demon who seeks to erase all timelines (I.e Chara, more specifically the "Demon" Chara), and Calliborns ultimate goal, after he destroys all worlds, is to find his sister in paradox space and kill her. If Chara is in Deltarune, their true goal might be find Gaster in the Dark World and kill him, why? Well, we'll have to wait and see.
