God I love this scene. It wasn't really made clear in the movie, but Ghidorah was bringing the storms. He was terraforming Earth to his liking, and the storms were getting worse. Like, Day After Tomorrow tier bad in some places. But the Terran Kaiju's radiation battled his terraforming. When Mothra blasted her god rays, it drove the storm of Ghidorah both literally and figuratively back. This was the first time anyone had seen the sun in days, and Mothra brought it. The Queen of the Monsters showed the world that there was still hope, was the literal light in the darkness, and she brought glad tidings like the Goddess Guardian Angel she is. "Do not despair my children. While the false king may sit on the throne, bring the darkness and storms, and force my kin to destroy us all, hope is not lost..." "Because the true King still lives."

Watching as everyone cheers at every Godzilla or monster appearance or even cheering at the humans makes me feel a lot better that I’m not the only one who is a fan and who gets hyped at every second. It really makes it less of a guilty pleasure of being a fan since most people seem to think a guy in a rubber suit is too childish or immature of a interest. That is but a small part of one of the many great things about this movie, and why it is a great edition to the Godzilla franchise. It respects the series and its characters, making it instantly recognizable as a Godzilla movie by calling back to previous and including many elements from earlier films, but also making it distinct and new.

I saw this movie with a friend of mine who loves Godzilla. When he heard the original theme song remastered in this movie, he nearly jumped out of his seat and started screaming. I had to grab his arm to get him to sit down. The same thing happened when the army mentioned the Oxygen Destroyer. At the end of the movie with the after credits scene, I had my moment of flipping out when I called out the teaser for Mecha-King Ghidorah Another friend who we watched the movie with later on when it came out on DVD, the shot in Antartica where the camera pans up to reveal Godzilla, she said: “my boy’s been working out!” These were probably the best moments of 2019 for me

I was there with my family, and I've seen all the movies and everyone else has seen a fair few (minus my brother, who's seen less than five). Mothras God Ray's always makes me tear up. So glad everyone cheered and clapped for almost everything. I'm happy I rediscovered Godzilla in 2015. Then I saw some old movies. When I first saw the scene was Godzilla was rising from the ice and faced King ghidorah, I felt the amount of hatred they had on both of their looks
