I'm not saying the tie-job isn't good enough, it most likely will hold up 99 out of 100 times. But, at the front, there's a risk of the truck bouncing, and skipping sideways, possibly far enough to get a wheel to go off the trailer. If that happens while driving, that could be a pretty big deal. Usually when tying down vehicles, you try to go in an X pattern side to side. That provides tension downwards, and side to side. Having chains front and back then provides tension front to back, so the load can't go anywhere. Looking at 6:19, if the chains were attached to the trailer on opposite points (so the right side of the vehicle to the left side of the trailer and vice versa), that would help out a lot. Again: This would probably work 99 out of 100 times, but losing a load 1 out of 100 times is still not something you'd really want.
