They've only played it 30 something times. And that was in 2001 and 2003. It would be AMAZING if Dave pulled it out of his bag of tricks, but I don't see it happening.... Unfortunately. Eat, drink, and be merry! 💚🌎🌝🌕🌙🎑🌠💙🩵🌚

I worked for a special education summer school program in NJ years ago. One day I’m eating lunch with a bunch of the staff and we start talking about music. I say I’m a Dave Matthews fan. Then one lady goes “I used to sing with them”. We get to talking and she said she was one of the lovely ladies. She told me about all the famous singers she used to back up. Sure enough first opportunity I get I look up this and there she is. She is the one on the right and who opens up the solo. Mind blown.

Brenda White-King, Cindy Mizelle, and Tawatha Agee are The Lovely Ladies. They are ALL legendary in the music business. They've sang on just about every popular song/album known to man. They all were longtime singers for Luther Vandross singing on all his recordings and accompanying him on stage. They're also known as the "New York Elite" or "The A-Team", being that they are highly demanded in the industry. Hope this helped! :-)

A few things: 1. These guys have been going around the country for 20yrs or so taking people by the hand into outer space for a dance in the falling stardust. 2. Sometimes artists know they're KILLING IT, and they don't have to be cocky or arrogant; they're appreciative and in awe too - I think this is such a time. 3. This is a complete Lovefest, and I think a lot of people "got it" on this one. I know tastes don't always translate, but if you can manage the 15mins, you might see what I mean.

You have got to be kidding me. This song is one of the worst DMB songs. I honestly don't understand how someone could like this song. It takes time away from a good song like seek up.
@RobOnMV8 жыл бұрын
Totally a personal preference. I love this song, but have heard it just a few times in the many dozens of DMB shows I've attended. For me the gems are the less played tunes. Sadly, with the last albums from a few years ago, and the songs he's sung so far from the forthcoming album we are left with mostly mediocre tunes, mixed with a few greats from yesteryear. Again, my opinion and preference.

That moment when the powers that be have perfect timing and send you a song out of nowhere that is somehow a perfect fit for every facet of your current situation. In fact, it fits so well that it's almost unbearable and that's the moment you think maybe you should turn it off before you start to cry, but you don't because you know it's what you need to hear. So instead, you turn it louder and listen to it again at least three more times in a row.
