I get you know everything already, but the critical part of all backward spring and acrobatics in general, is specifically the momentum from arm movement - free arm movement in this case, which generates the spring, not pushing the hips up (which is important, but not nearly as much as the free arm up/backwards momentum. Seen this taught wrong/badly so many times.
@RoninCapoeira4 жыл бұрын
I agree that momentum is important. I emphasize the hips up for capoeiristas because the tend to keep their hips collapsed and jump around the side. Also, women with bigger hips cant generate the power unless they fully extend in their jump. Too much junk in our trunks! Lol

absolutely loved the tutorial, if you can make basic tutorial videos like role, negativa, ect. I would gladly subscribe and spread the word of your vids. Hey thanks. If you really like them and want more I'll start posting them. This is my only one. I will start thanks for the suggestion! Please subscribe!
looks great but iam not flexibal enough for a high bridge because of a twisted spine, i can do a medium bridge from the ground but not a transition from the leaning back position, it would throw me to the ground, so can i still do it?
@RoninCapoeira3 жыл бұрын
Yes but you would have to take a different approach. I recommend the style where you jump around the side of one hand and slowly try to go higher and more over the top in the jump. Some other macaco videos teach this way. You'll need a confident/strong jump to accommodate the lack of flexibility. Good luck!
@Georgeos7773 жыл бұрын
@@RoninCapoeira i saw one now in which the guy simply go over the one arm and never use the second to a bridge like move, i think this will go, strenght for me is not the problem, itsmore the flexibility.

Forgot to say, people usually put both hands on the same side of their head, bringing their arm across their chest, which turns it into a cartwheel.
@aprilczareen57066 жыл бұрын
Hello.. don't know if you would ever read this one. But how do you train to get to do this? What exercises would help to avoid being injured while practicing this?
@RoninCapoeira6 жыл бұрын
April Czareen you should train should strength, and lower back flexibility. So regular bridges, and handstand or headstand pushups. Also handstand nose touches are good too. Anythiing to strengthen your shoulders and add lower back flexibility.

I don't know that I could ever learn this art with my back back and lack of spinal flexibility but if i could it looks like a lot of fun! I am moving to provo Utah next week and am a lifelong martial artist with most of my training in Japanese Arts such as Jujutsu ,Judo , and Karate. I ran my own school here and im very sad to leave it behind . I would possibly be interested in checking you guys out sometime and possibly seeing if my back will hold up to all the bending and spinning. Any advice or thoughts ?

Not a clean over the top one because it would probably li g mean you lack the shoulder strength. I'm sure you could learn the version with one arm where you jump over the side though which many videos teach as a first step.
