Tomboy charge shot knocks him from his Flight, same with gerbera breakage, every move can be parried, its even more effective than royal guard. No damage scrub method - punchline and blue rose spam from triple jump height. He cant reach you there with judgement cuts.

More little tips for you guys. Payline is the best move to deal with Summon sword(maybe except for spiral sword) with its long and big parry hitbox. If you see Vergil prepare his Blistering sword wait until it starts launching and use Payline to end his career. If you know you could not escape JCE in time. Shuffle is your best friend with good I-frame and even longer with exceed. Start using when you see light from Yamato. (same with jumping before RG block for Dante) *Mission 20 only When Vergil guards in low hp. DT explosion will break his guard and make him enter his crouch stun.

5:51 theres no reason to as nero but you can table hopper JCE with the right timing. doesnt help much but makes you look cool. also blue rose makes vergil a joke. a colored up shot is enough to stun him for a snatch. youre basically invincible to his 4x judgement cuts if you table hopper or just spam roll as nero will usually enter table hopper near the 2nd or 3rd cut. showdown + break age buster arm shreds vergil when hes stunned. its way too good.

Table hopper does leave you significantly closer to Vergil making for a really easy punish on JCE. There is an easy visual queue for the timing as well. After the charge up, when Vergil dashes forward but before he goes invisible is your roll time. It's very reactable since you know it's coming. It's also worth noting that like other bosses in DMC 4 and 5 Nero has a special cinematic buster attack when Vergil is stunned and kneeling for decent damage (grounded only). As with previous bosses unload on him with showdown and other heavy hitting attacks before using buster as the buster attack will end the stun state.

The only fight I remember right is one named, DMC5 (Parry Night) a gameplay as Nero vs Vergil. You can Parry the JCE with the PunchLine breaker, at first it seems that is not, but if you hear closely, there is the Parry sound. So, basically, you can stop the JCE with a Ultra heavy attack for what I see

If you manage to get a crouch stun and a doppelganger is still near you can double buster. You destroy the dopple and do a huge ton of damage. It is really difficult to align it all but it pays off

Tip: Break away ("sacrificing" the currently equipped breaker) can also remove the stun. Plus, he's a lot easier to damage with hits here than in M20 (he resembles the moveset/stagger properties used by M19 Vergil). Unlike in M20 where he flies off after 3 hits and is somewhat easier to stagger.

It's worth noting that like many bosses Nero fights in DMC 4 and 5, there is a cinematic buster attack for pretty heavy damage if you buster Vergil while he is stunned on the ground. Like with previous games unload with moves like showdown and other heavy hitters for free first. Use the buster just before Vergil gets back up, buster will end the stunned state. It is also possible to table hopper or roll against Judgement Cut End. There is an easy visual queue for the timing, right as Vergil dashes but before he goes invisible, use a roll. It leaves you closer to Vergil for an easy punish on JCE.

as far as cheese strats, i got him to final phase from pretty much nothing but blue rose shots, just stay moving as most his attacks u dont even need to dodge, and shoot during openings, pretty easy. that buster trick on his dopple is priceless, as without it that part is absurd tbh.

Quick tip for dodging jce if you can't get out of it in time, roll, spam rolling, there's a very large chance your I-frames will save you

You can dodge judgement cut end with shuffle's i-frames. Do it when Vergil jumps for JCE. Very handy if you can't get away in time. I also use shuffle to parry his rapid slash/rising star, a lot safer than using normal strikes.

Its pretty much the same, just with dante's move set. Use royal guard or trickster to dodge, then attack while hes recovering. When he DTs you can use sin DT, jump in the air and use The Luce to hit him while avoiding his DT attacks. You could also use the Faust instant kill strategy that a few people have on youtube now as well.

Easiest boss fight ever Vergil DT dont even heal him really Capcom you needed to make DMC V that dumb. DMC 3 Vergil was alot faster and agressive this Vergil is not.
