First I've heard it, but this remix doesn't seem to do much of interest. We have the lead vocal, under which is a standard Bbm - Ab - Ebm chord progression which seems to have no musical connection to the vocal melody. I doubt it took much effort to create. I'm surprised Bowie allowed it out.

I respect your opinion, but I completely disagree with your analysis. Isn't it a bit snobbish to claim that electronic music doesn't take effort? Have you ever tried to learn a DAW or make a song, yourself? I'm guessing you have, or at least I would hope you have, based on your critique. It is _not_ easy. Remixing a song can be a difficult endeavor as well, because your creative limits are governed by the original song (even if you don't see or hear any kind of melodic connection). In the case of this remix, people really seem to like it. You don't have to like it, but a lot of people do. To each their own. Take care.
