Tool setup conventionally requires the operator to move between the main operation panel and the magazine.Many tools are used during continuous long duration automatic line production and to machine complexly shaped work pieces.The more tools used the greater the frequency of tools set up.
So dmg mori developed the magazine operation panel a controller for easily and efficiently carrying out tool setup.With the new magazine operation panel the operator does not need to move between the main operation panel and the magazine for setup work.As a result setup time can be reduced by more than 50 percent.Everything necessary for tool setup can be completed on the new panel.The operator can intuitively search and call up pre-registered tool data from the panel's main screen.
It is also possible to check information about the tools actually attached to the magazine.When assigning the data of a tool to be used to a magazine pot tap the plus mark for the pot number to be used.
Then enter the tool number.As tool assignment and pot calling work together magazine pots can be automatically called up. Attach the tool to the magazine pot.The operator can easily extract and call up the data for tools that require maintenance.First tap the abnormal tool filter button on the screen.Tools requiring maintenance will then be listed on screen in the order of skip tools life alarm tools and light warning tools.As soon as a tool is called up the operator can check the tool's condition and change it if necessary.After changing a tool tap the abnormal tool reset button that completes tool maintenance.The new magazine operation panel is compatible with various dmg mori machines.Dmg mori continues to pursue efficient setup contributing to improved customer productivity.
