Well I love porcupine tree in general so when I went to go see them in 2008 they played this and I was stunned by their remembrance of all the moving parts and the fast section with the insane double bass stuff Gavin missed the symbol and through the stick out into the crowd and I was like oh my God that section is so hard I couldn’t like fathom how he was even doing it to begin with.

PT fans are outstanding - they're mostly people who've been following them since (or close to) inception. They're one of the most underrated prog rock/metal bands in the world. Mikael Akerfeldt (of Opeth) - is very good friends with Steven Wilson (main brain behind the band & vocalist) who has produced (and performed) 3 Opeth albums also - has said in an interview that he never understood why PT weren't the biggest band in the world (well, we all know why)... Anyway, I am glad you liked the performance, it truly is unbelievable to see what these musicians can do LIVE. For some more PT songs: Arriving Somewhere But Not Here (live in Chicago) or HATESONG (live in Chicago); the latter will show you what Gavin Harrison (who by far is the most musically creative and skilfully incredible drummer of this generation - IMO) is really all about. Your jaw (most likely) will be on the floor after watching that song :) And on the "crazy fans" tangent; you should check NIGHTWISH (Ghost Love Score) live at Wacken 2013.- the band has "an army of fans" - literally :D

Like everyone else is suggesting: Arriving Somewhere But Not Here. Both album and live versions are amazing, but if I was to pick one, live certainly for a lot of the same reasons as Anesthetize. That said, I loved seeing her singing along with some knowledge of the song from the first studio reaction, and give credit to the great lyrics. The words are often straight to the point, but still so well written. Fear of a Blank Planet, Way Out of Here, Sound of Muzak, Open Car, .... list goes on and on. Oh and Gavin Harrison is indeed brilliant. Sure there are a lot of great technical drummers, but Gavin manages to make all of it serve the music and groove so well. He just has incredible musicality to his playing.
