One Meshuggah song that’s constantly overlooked from their early days is called “Sickening” from their 1994 EP, None, before they broke out with the full-length album Destroy, Erase, Improve via their first hit single “Future Breed Machine” which is another track you should definitely check out, too.

Future Breed Machine (of their second album) was my introduction to Meshuggah and I was hooked immediately. There should be some good live videos of that song (no official video unfortunately). Do not look down is another amazing song. Well, all songs are amazing… 🤘🏻🔥

@@Egoblivion To be fair... pretty much all songs on that album are "hits" for me, but Born in Disonance has a special place for me... But... I have to agree with you that title track is an _amazing_ track. It is a bit more intricate and complicated, but I do love it. Since I started following Meshuggah back in 1994, I think the reason why Born In Disonance takes the top place is because it reminds me a little bit about some of the earlier things Meshuggah did. :)

For me, the Obzen / Koloss is peak Meshuggah. Not saying their other eras are bad, really the contrary but Koloss mostly has a special place in my heart.

Meshuggah is so unique, so heavy yet so smooth as you said. They get you in a trance, right into a landscape full of biomechanical beasts that walk to the beat and growl ancient spells. lmao.... I seriously recommend you guys the band "ZU", italian math avant garde metal. Try the song "Obsidian", I'm sure you'll like it.

Koloss is the record this is on and it’s absolutely incredible (and insane) front to back. They have a new record coming out on April 1st which is could not be excited for! Meshuggah is my favourite band. I fucking love their music! They just no how to create catchy yet complex heavy music. I would recommend a very underrated song for you guys called "Violent Sleep Of Reason" live version. Meshuggah live Graspop 2018 (almost full show) the song starts at 36.21. The sound quality is just as good as the studio if not even better!

Meshuggah just announced a new album coming out on April Fools Day 2022!! I saw them once in 2012 Perth Soundwave Metal Music Festival, was amazing seeing Meshuggah and Gojira plus Devin Townsend on one stage as one super Djent band!!!!!

None of the names you mentioned have anything to do with the Djent scene. Meshuggah themselves, even though they know that they inspired the Djent subgenre, do not see themselves as a Djent band. :)

Yo you guys should start diving into Catch Thirty Three, It's a concept album Meshuggah made that functions as one massive 45 minute song and It's nothing short of a masterpiece. Just to get a taste have a go at Track 11 - Personae Non Gratae and Track 12 - Dehumanization. When the first song moves into the second you'll be glad I told you about this absolute gem of an album. Trust me :)

Maybe go back in time just a bit, and try "Neurotica" from Meshuggah's "Chaosphere" album. To me, it was the beginning of Meshuggah's current sound. Anything from that album is good. I remember when they released it, I blasted my skull to pieces listening to it. And, I'm 59. You're never too old to bang that head that doesn't bang.

@@Denka187 Japp, ett sjuhelvetes band! Jag har fan helt missat dessa som ung. Jag är född 70, så de var igång i mina sena tonår, då Metallica var på allas läppar när det gäller Metal. Jag är svensk, född uppvuxen här, men hörde Meshuggah först för 1 1/2 år sedan. Det föll omedelbart på plats, vad mitt sinne behöver. En utmanande musi, men fann det rätta grove't direkt. Så plattan i april skall köpas!
