I got my license over a year ago, all I’m going to say is calm down. Every instructor is different but they are all humans. Talk to them before you start driving. Just have a causal conversation about the weather or something simple. Just be respectful and listen to the directions. Try your best and be sure to practice a lot. If a shitty driver like me can pass, you guys can all pass easily. And hey life’s not over if you fail, always got next times. ;) good luck!

My mom actually taught me how to drive. Two months before my test she actually printed out blank dmv grade sheets. She actually gave me a couple mock tests. She would act as the examiner and actually conduct it like a real test. She would actually grade me and then go over how I did at the end. One the result and told me where I needed more work. It was actually extremely helpful and I passed the real test first time with no demerits. She did the same for my sister as well and it worked for her as well.

I had my road test today (GA, 3/3/23) and I got a perfect score! Aside from the amazing professional driving lessons that I took to prepare, I owe much of my success to the knowledge and confidence gained from watching the videos posted on this channel (both successes and failures). I didn't even realize how fast those 15 minutes went by and honestly makes me feel a bit less anxious to take the test since I had one of my last few driving lessons today and will be doing the test in a month or so. After failing my driving test twice, I finally got my license without having to retake the test. I noticed that many instructors seem to fail students on purpose, probably because it helps them make more money when we have to come back for another try. To get around this, I decided to contact a licensed DMV agent who assisted me in writing a letter to request a provisional license. Examiner's who don't have the patience & talk rudely should be automitaclly let go, just like any other job. I've never dealt with any examiner with a bad attitude but if you want a person to pass you gotta have the patience & not get irritated easily. It's also for the future of our kid's. It's pretty easy for the instructor to fail you for simple mistakes so keep your head up if it happens. i met with a special DMV agents that helped me get my license in 6 days. although i already know the basics on how to drive because i always watctch my dad drive, and i do practice alot. This is hard for me to admit , im 38 and have never got my drivers license. In 2016 i had finnally got my permit and was practicing, got in small accident but it did set me back basically for another ten years i stayed away from driving getting by on public transit and wasting money on uber ! Three years ago i had my first and only child , my beautiful awesome daughter, and i decided then i have to get my drivers license, thankfully with everything ive been given the opportunity to be a stay at home dad , and a few months ago i got my permit agian and have been practicing driving atleast to the store and back everyday or everyother day . I passed my test! Some tips for your. Practice your deep breathing, your going to be nervous. Don’t drink a large coffee beforehand. It’s makes the anxiety worse. Also practice driving around your local dmv. Get a feel for the neighborhood. If you are taking it in Daly City like in this video, the test route is the same some turns may be different but the lay out is the same. The examiners are professional and patient. You’ll be great!

I got my license in December, the test is very straight-forward and simple. If you did at least like 10 hours of driving and are confident in your ability to drive then you should pass the test.

I have my test in two days and I’m 100% confident driving on the road, but parking (parallel and reverse) is the biggest issue for me. I’ve been practicing a lot so wish me luck😭👍 Edit: I passed!! The parking was super easy and only took me 4 minutes to do. The way I practiced parking was making the space smaller so I can challenge myself which helped a lot at the test bc the space they give you is pretty big.

My dad has always been one of the most strict people in my life. i remember vividly when he was teaching me how to drive then that's over 35 years ago, i remember him slapping me when i was about to wrongly overtake a big truck and he asked me not to go but i was nervous i was surprised he could slap me while I was driving. but now Instructors are always there to guide you through and score you i dont think that is something you all should be scared of, but ever since i met this special DMV agent he made my driving life easy and i was able to get my driver license in 7 days. All thanks to him.🙌🙌

1. Drive like a grandma. Seriously. 2. Take 3 seconds at every stop sign if you live in California. 3. NEVER turn right on a red light. Who cares if this is allowed in real life?, RED means fire, fire means bad, GREEN means leaves, and leaves are good. We are cave people and this is biology 101. Failing to understand this will give them plenty of excuses to fail you. Think about it. A random pedestrian you didn’t see, someone turning from the opposite direction, the examiner from the DMV speeding up on their free day, and… BAM, no more DL for you, and more fees for them. Seriously, don’t do it. 4. When approaching any intersection without stop signs, check for incoming traffic twice!, they test prospective drivers by the TRUCKLOAD, and they have favourite spots like these. 5. Exaggerate your over-the-shoulder checks ALL the time, specially when you cross bike lanes, when turning, when joining traffic, etc. 6. When turning right into a multi-lane street, ALWAYS choose the closest lane, regardless of you being allowed to choose any lane when turning in real life.

Passed my test yesterday. Aside from having problems while driving and turning through intersections (along with being a bit slow while lane changing to the left once), I did very great! Also, I kinda screwed up on the backing portion, but the driving instructor I had was nice enough to give me another chance for the backing, which I succeeded at.
