@@charliecorbett503 I feel like sometimes those “old beats” can still be replicated in the new modern music but it’s due to the lack of meaning behind modern song sometimes and the nostalgia most ppl had with old hip hop vs modern it’s what blinds us from the actual reality which is hip hop didn’t stop being hip hop ppl still make simple beats with a simple rhythm the same way they did back in the day the only difference is instead of strings they use pianos and all that yk they do the same thing except they just changed the instruments and drum kits to make it more “modern” sure it may not be everyone’s favorite and due to the lack of meaning behind song now and days it can seem terrible but there is no denying that beats how they were back in the way are exactly the way they use to be the only difference is time changed so instruments changed and so on, it’s only because of ppls attachments to legends of hip hop that ppl criticize not only the artist but the beats in modern music today when it reality the only thing that changed was the instrument choices and the artist who get their hands on them.
