Shin Wave 2 yes, but it wouldn’t be that good for play, over time the ratchets wear and the joint isn’t tight enough to hold much, I learned that with my AOE Galvatron after 5-6 years of stop motion

I've encountered nothing fragile with this kit and it really depends on what you don't want to use which will dictate if it'll still work properly, but for the most part you can use and not use what you want.

I recommend using Jetfire's head to make the front armor, the arms hold it, the cone of the jet will be split in half by your knife and secure it in place. I actually did it with my toy and it worked.

Emgo, if you struggle with the front pieces of the combined mode, what I do is take off Prime's stomach piece, put it together, and then put his stomach piece back on.

I have a skipjack figure and I already have him combined mode but I had to collect the rest of the destructicons and I'm going to use the cereal seaweed version of the devastator as a drone and the transformers combine wars devastator will be the original one

Because SS 32 & 44 are the same mold, the kit probably works in 44 as well, so Can you store some of the kit pieces in primes trailer (in trailer and/or ring mode)? And does the new combined mode keeps the same possibility as the original?

I didn't try to store any of this in prime's trailer so I don't know. I'm for using these things per the instructions so that's something for you to play with if you're that curious about it , and I go through the poseability in the video.
