@@OP-1000 doesn’t matter. They should have been adopted TOGETHER. You never separate siblings. That’s never ok to do. If there’s 2 or more siblings either you adopt them all or you don’t adopt any, period.

When my grandmother was adopting children, she found out the girl she was about to adopt was one of 5 orphaned children. She said to the agency that she’d take all or none of them but would not separate the children. I don’t know why but she said they wouldn’t allow her to adopt them all.

I'm so glad they've gotten the chance to be together again-you can just hear in both that first call and in the clips of them together how much they love each other. Making the most of the time they have left-I hope they have as many years as possible. They both must be in their 90s just about, but I hope they can make up for some of that lost time at least.

It was very emotional for me too. I am the eldest of 9 siblings. In the span of 18 months I lost 3 brothers ( healthy and strong 💪) from complications related to Covid and my dad died ( of a broken heart) shortly after burying his 3rd son , he was 95 years old and was healthy and strong . I'm so moved by their shared memories of serving time together in an orphanage, a boy of 11 doing his upmost to step into the protective role, ensuring his little 8 year old sister felt safe and cared for, then callously separated by the system, compounding the loss of their mother and then their father, leaving them with deep wounds they'd carry for decades, and now in the final frail days of their lives, they're suddenly those two children once more, hand in hand, sitting by the ocean.

These stories always make me cry. It's wonderful they have reunited, but it just reinforces the pain of loneliness I've always felt as an only (adult) child. When the time comes and I am the only one left, I won't have anyone to reminisce with, someone to still call family, someone who I could turn to. There's always been a hole in my life for a sibling. Of course not all sibling relationships are positive, but to never know what it's like to have one has always been painful.

So sad...he's crying for all the missed time he didn't have with his sister. So heart breaking for the children they were, but happy for the time they have together.
