Agreed. I never talked shit about my kids father to her. She's only seen him maybe a handful of times. She's 17 now. She went to visit him at 13-14. I told her you are now going to get to see what he is like and you can make your own assumptions. She was supposed to stay 6 weeks. She barely made it past a week before she called saying come get her she can't take him no more. She got in the car (now mind you gor me it was like an 18 hr drive) and we got to the hotel and she slept like she hadn't the whole time a he had been gone. Now she didnt tell me what was up until we were about 8 hrs away bc she knew I'd have beat his ass. Well she wasn't sexual abused or anything like that bc i know she would have called the cops. He was just being the gaslighting ass he always has been. Making her feel like her not being around was her fault when it was entirely his. Then one night he got drunk wanting to play fight well she didnt and he (not hard but enough to hurt) kicked her in the shin with his steel toed boots on. Then he called me on my way back saying take me off speaker, so i said he was, bes i was in downtown Cincinnati no way was I hand holding a phone. Well he tells me check her bag bc his gfs vibrator is missing. That he thinks since she's gotta guy friend he's likely talked her into using one. Omg the look of disgust that came across her face. I told him why don't you check your sons rooms bc she would never. Come to find out it was in the boys room. Never apologized for that. Now shea graduating next month and he's coming. She's ok with it but she knows i didnt like it much and she's like whatever about it. She asked me why i didnt really want him there. I told her straight up that he is going to try to take credit for YOUR accomplishments as if he been here the whole time since he's likely bringing his new gf. I told her Im not seeking credit bc I'm your mom its my job to see that you do well but that the hard work is all you. Some guys just can't grow up ever.

Eh it’s not a massive jump. When some people don’t want to be parents, especially when they have a new partner that doesn’t want to be a step parent (despite dating a single parent) or the parent regrets the child, murder can happen.
