I have to say I haven’t ever looked at this, mainly because I tend to re-skin a lot but it definitely is worth taking a look for just pre-prepped encounters that are balanced... thanks Miller you may have converted me on my game prep 😂

Does the encounter builder allow you to also track initiative within the encounter?

Yes, if you "Run the Encounter" you can track initiative, die rolls, etc.

My only questions are; 1) Does this work for the free membership as well or only the paid subscriptions? 2) Do you know if d&d beyond has an accessability mode or night mode? Thanks for the video.

It should be available for free memberships. I haven't seen accessibility/night mode option, but I haven't really looked either. Thanks for watching!

How do you add one of the unassigned characters (NPCs) as a “monster” in an encounter?

I don't think it has that functionality, at least for encounter set up. It will have some NPCs from books you own on on beyond though, like Saltmarsh. Once you run the encounter though you will have access to the unassigned characters in the initiative tracker. For XP calculations they will count as good guys so you'll have to balance the encounter by hand. I hope that made sense.

No, you can save them, edit later and run whenever you need to.

@@TheEnderGizmo After you save it, there's a "Run Encounter" button. It does have an initiative tracker and you can pull up the stat cards right from the tracker. It doesn't track the monsters' HP, spell usage, etc. so you need some scratch paper or other digital means. It also isn't a game in and of itself, it is meant to accompany you regular DnD game, either virtually or in person.

@@m3verse not sure if its a recent update, but nowadays it does allow for tracking of monster HP. Not spell usage though
