Great review. I picked up this exact same dice tower but I have a different dice tray. My FLGS had their green dice tray. They work great and are very quiet for when I'm doing solo games at the kitchen table and my family are asleep.

I was in the exact same situation. Even after watching this I don’t understand the purpose of that extra piece. It doesn’t seem to make a difference in the stability of the tower when it’s standing alone with or without it

I picked up the tower - loved it, but couldn't figure out why the extra square piece was for. Thanks to this video, I now know it just goes on the back for stand alone purposes...You would probably also use it to hold stuff to the tower, like initiative order

Thank you. This tower is made in many iterations by the same base company. I have a similar one and I don’t like how wobbly the tower is. Trying to figure out a way to stabilize it.

I have a dice roller similar but has all these flaps in tower part that get in way. I can’t figure out how those are supposed to fold

I like that it's portable, but I have a question for all the engineers and statisticians out there: Does using a dice tower actually make your rolls more random? It really doesn't make sense to me that the effect would be that noticeable unless someone is just picking up the dice and then plopping them back down without putting any effort into mixing them up or giving them an actual roll. I feel like everyone knows how to roll dice, so why are towers popular? This isn't me being a troll or anything. I'm actually curious to hear from more experienced gamers or people who can explain the mechanics of the thing.

I'm not statistician, but I do know I was also curious and did some testing. It seemed to be very random, at least in my "experiments." :)

I suspect many people do indeed not know how to roll dice that well. A dice tower can help make sure some of those folks who don’t know, or pretend to not know, make sure their rolls are actually rolled. I also find it helps with noise personally

I have this since like 2 years ago, but I searched for a video to figure out what the hell is the deal with the spare loose part, and the flappy thing at the bottom. It doesn't let the dice out if it's all the way up, and if it's left loose, it's just hanging down and does nothing. What is it for!? And is the spare loose part really just there to be a slight extra backing and/or a magnetic clip to put it on a dice tray?

Bought this and it just arrived. Dice try is nice but the tower is not good. Dice get stuck inside fairly often. I should have bought a stand alone plastic tower. Oh well.

This dice tower sucks. The bottom flap falls flat and your dice just drop down forcing you to remove the tower to view your dice.

1:40 Those dice are awful. How is anyone sitting around the table supposed to tell what side is up. I can't even tell from a close-up in the video. Who comes up with such garbage?
