Also it's really neat to have someone really play with the implications of a short-lived fantasy race, considering that it's much more common for fantasy races to be long-lived. Sometimes looking at Nott I think, "Is this how elves see humans?" The intensity of her devotion to Caleb, especially is so fascinating.

The cool thing is that it wouldn't have to be an animated series about D&D, but just an animated series that happens to be inspired by it, which opens it up to a much larger audience that wouldn't normally watch a show about D&D. the definition of anime if animation which is what anime short for so it would technically be anime, unless you want to call it animation and state anime only from japan
@chainer86866 жыл бұрын
Ah yes the time old subject of separating anime from other animation; In Japan, everything animated is called anime. Some of modern anime isn't from japan, at least not entirely, with Korea having a hand in the mix. Art style (as well as stereotypical anime expressions and reactions) is also up in the air as shows that many would consider anime with out question don't use the typical anime art styles while showes from other countries do. There's a lot more to it as well but I felt like sharing some of the core topics and there are tons of vids right here on youtube which go deeper into it. Personally I have grown to using the term in a very fluid manner, as being so strictly black and white doesn't really work when trying to come up with a list of criteria of what does or doesn't count as anime.

My channel actually stopped doing lets plays so we could begin developing an animated table top show. The demands of creating one, at least for a small team are very demanding. We've basically had to hack a table top system to create something that reduces the pressure on editing. Things are looking good though. We should have the pilot episode released in about a month, after which we'll recruit a player or two then produce the show on a weekly to bimonthly basis. XD I know weekly to bimonthly sounds insane, but I've crunched the numbers and with a simple enough art style, I'm pretty sure I can pull it off.
