My dad used to treat EVERY person the same - with respect. He was never intimidated by status. He would be quick to say that regardless of your place in society, "we all put our pants on the same way - one leg at a time". I'm 70 years old now, and I have lived by my father's 'mantra'. But I want to tell you, that I hold you both in considerable respect! If ever I was 'star struck', it would be in the presence of you both! (It's meant as a compliment). Thank you for all you have done in the poker world Daniel, and you are a beautiful example of a woman with a down-to-earth, no nonsense but kind persona Amanda.

Daniel, I've followed your poker career for 25 yrs. My all time favorite. When heard you started a podcast, my thoughts were, "Let's have a listen." IMO you're about to dominate the podcast world. Your ability to shed clarity on a subject is Ninja like. Amanda's badsss approach to "no nonsense" is a secret weapon to success. Only a handful of people have great success in multiple formats/careers. You're one of them. I liked the "helping the homeless" subject. I think you have great solutions to complex issues.

Danial, you have been my favorite poker player since 2002. I have been playing wsop for the last two years. I never approached you as everytime I did see you you were busy and I watch your vlog😂I lost everything to addiction in 2015. Lost my house, lost my business 9 employees lost their jobs and lost trust of my family and friends. I was on heroin till early 2018 when my son called an ambulance because I was unresponsive. 12 days in the hospital along with not being able to make money got me sober. I moved to Colorado from Wisconsin and started to rebuild. Last month I bought a house, and my 26 year old son is my best friend. Last year my brother started to talk to me again. Its possible to come back, when I took my pic in front of the big wsop as you enter Paris was a huge milestone for me. I love the podcast. I look forward to it as much as I do your vlog maybe more. Thanks for everything you do and if you mention this message in a future podcast I'll come say hi next year. It is a disease and thank you for recognizing that. Amanda you are amazing as well. I dated a girl who had bipolar in fact we were engaged. But I being stupid let the "crazy bitch" go. I miss her everyday which may have started my addiction who knows we're i would be if this podcast existed in 2006. Love you both

Another great conversation. Love the podcast. The conversation regarding homelessness was intriguing to me. I am a motorcycle adventure rider and I have come across homelessness in every town I have been to all across North America. The problem appears to be unsolvable. Your idea of the 10 families is very unique, but I also believe that all the city administrators across North America have been trying, independently to solve this problem. I believe, as you believe there are many smart people in this world, and many of these people work for municipal governments. I also believe that if you were to take the top two or three smartest people from the largest 100 cities in North America and put them together in a room, these brilliant people will be able to come up with some kind of solution to solve the problem of homelessness. Keep up the great work. You and Amanda are an inspiration to me.

The only time I've been to Vegas was on a cross country trip in a RV with my family. 1977, I was 11, and we stayed at the RV hookup lot of the Hacienda. My parents and Grandparents took us to Circus Circus where us kids could play carney games upstairs and they could gamble downstairs. My Grandmother was playing the slots and gave me a silver dollar and I ran straight to a giant slot machine and put the dollar in the slot. My Father ran after me yelling that I couldn't do that and we were going to get arrested. Anyway, a security guy came over and told my Father it wasn't a problem as long as I didn't pull the handle. Since the dollar was already in the slot my Dad pulled the handle and 11 silver dollars came out of the machine. I kept those coins for years after.

I LOVE what you guys are doing and the open reparte. Watch every week! Wanted to chime in about the middle class jobs as I'm a journeyman automotive tech and have been noticing the demand for my job go up and up over the past few years. Tradespeople are gaining so much worth because of the "easy fame" goals of influencers and opportunities due to what you said. Problems still need to be solved and things need to be fixed no matter who you are and what you do. I love poker, but have a very small chance at a bracelet and, at the same time, I can find a solution to almost any tech problem without batting an eyelash. My kind have been overlooked and under appreciated for so many decades that its kinda cool to watch it all come back around that now the practical problem solvers are becoming a huge minority with such a high demand. Love the podcast and I hope it lasts a very long time!!

Tell you the truth each adult would need 40,000 a year plus 15,000 per child a year that's why the average home should be making $65,000 a year if they can't survive with that then they can't survive so that means around $650,000 per year for 10 families😮

Some examples of gaslighting include: Denying reality: The abuser denies something the victim knows is true. Questioning memory: The abuser questions the victim's memory of events. Trivializing: The abuser makes the victim's feelings or needs seem unimportant. Blaming: The abuser blames the victim. Contradicting: The abuser contradicts themselves. Withdrawing support: The abuser withdraws affection, support, or approval. Gaslighting can cause victims to feel confused, isolated, powerless, and have low self-esteem. Victims may also become dependent on the abuser and have difficulty escaping the relationship.

Oh please. She was more than happy to profit off of her looks. It's not any different than a washed up athlete not being able to get a contract anymore. When you're paid for your looks you need maintain them or you're out of a job. Simple. A lot of old actresses do basically what she wants to do -profit off their looks when they're young and hot. Then cry about young hot women taking their jobs as they get older. They want it both ways but the world doesn't work that way.

Scott & I watched that Vegas special on CNN a few months ago and it was really interesting! Love Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Tony Bennett (we saw Tony Bennett here in Ontario about 10 years ago and he still sounded good!) Scott & I really enjoyed watching Californication as well! I definitely understand where Amanda is coming from with the weight issue! I’m petite as well and have always had issues with my weight! Like Amanda said, I know that I don’t need to lose weight either (I’m 4’11” and just over 100 pounds), but ever since I can remember, I’ve always looked in the mirror and not liked the way I looked on certain days! Talking about Universal Basic Income, I definitely think that it will come into effect sooner than we think! I work in a call centre for the Ontario Government (helping clients that are on the Ontario Disability Support Program) and I think my job will eventually be taken over by AI! Scott does Graphic Design, as well as creating websites and marketing and as you already said and he knows, his job will definitely be taken over by AI as well! He’s the same age as you though, so hopefully he doesn’t have to find a new career before retiring in 15 - 20 years! And the Mirage, we absolutely LOVED it and will miss it so much! We were there in June to stay there one last time before it closed for good! That’s when we stopped by to watch you play in the 50K PLO and chatted with Amanda, Christian & Patty 😊. Loving the podcast! Sorry for the long reply, but there were a lot of great topics to comment about! P.S. Love your idea on how to help 10 families per year and film it at the same time ❤

It's kind of sad that seemingly people have lost trust in the government to manage homelessness. But even more disturbing is that relying on rich people is considered a solution, yet demanding from elected officials to efficiently handle it is not. Yes, that will cost taxpayer money, but that's the price of social cohesion in a modern society.

Mothers would just need to stay employed to qualify for free daycare. Daycare is so expensive women can’t afford to go to work! And if you’re a single mom! Forget about it! The benefits would be great for the economy, people’s self worth, kids mental wellbeing, on and on.
