Seeing that you're starting to go full Addamo, I'd absolutely call you if I had a Q. The only thing I'd be afraid of is like AQ. But if I had a Q, knowing that you've suddenly become a bully, hands down I'd call. Bully = huge range. Honestly, the guy must have been playing to get in the money.

that's what splits the pros from everyone else - even though we think it's an absurd play, the guy folded and Dnegs said that's the right play too. If you're "always" calling there then pros can exploit you and milk you down all streets with a higher kicker

The only reason why it would be hard was because Daniel flatted with his AK preflop. Unconventional imo which then set up some trickiness. The thing is tho that Alex only has the idiot end of the straight which is not usually a bad made hand, but compared to river aggression from Daniel no less? Easy fold

No way do I fold a set of queens at a 3:1 rate especially since the only possible hands that win involve the last queen. And I have your range including AQ suited and off and KQ/JQ/10Q suited, but think you more likely have low suited connecters or a middling pair maybe pocket 6s but that's not good enough

How did he make the right fold? He called the flop with his Q, his hand improved with the same card on turn and he laid it down. Seems to me you shouldn't call the flop, get the best card you could improve with, then fold because the screen says Daniel N

On the 10's hand, I'd probably fold. People fold with J's, why not 10's. Like you said I'd put you on a pair with a flush draw, or straight draw, if not a high pair. The fact you 3-bet pre-flop I'd assume a high pair. Yeah 10's isn't something to risk it all on. It's a good thing he raised pre-flop if you have a high pair to get a read on your cards. Also, you're smart enough to know he may have a high pair with his raise and call, so you would not be dumb enough to go all in against potentially As or Ks. But then again if it's a bluff, kudos to you. Like one of those hands where you don't even look at cards and just play like you have As.
@YTSparty
@YTSparty 2 жыл бұрын
Ha, you had Js. Let's turn the question back on you, what if he went all in? Do you fold Js? The fact that he tanked must have made you feel pretty good, As or Ks is a snap call.

My poker instincts say that you have middle pocket pair like 77-99 or a suited connector like 67s, 86s (mid pair). That betting sequence makes the most sense judging by the bet sizing. I just cant fold the QTs there vs you, especially if it's not on the bubble or any other special stage of the mtt. It's doubly unlikely that you have a better Q seeing that 3 Qs are accounted for.

Quiz Guess: I thought you caught top pair with the Queen but with a weaker kicker you were trying to protect with the initial bet and turned the set but the reveal by the other player makes me think you had a set on the flop and a pocket pair like 6s or more likely 2s you were betting hard on to eliminate being drawn out on. Over pocket pair seems unlikely given the strong bet on the turn I doubt you had KK or AA and something like AQ would not have been played so heavy either. I would have called with Q10 Range: KQ, QJ, Q10, Q9, 22, 66

The UDG called with no draws on the board and you still bet strong so I do think you probably had a hand, a somewhat good hand. Any queen or 66, 22. If you had the Q you probably had better kicker too. Still would have been too difficult to get away from the Q10 for me I think.

So given your question at 9:00 on the video (what range I think you had), I'd say that you are tight, yet veryyyyyy aggressive. I want to say you had a Q, but in reality since I think I know your play style a tiny bit, I'd say you actually had an overcard and perhaps a middle pair or have not paired yet. I, as UTG, would have called or shoved.

I'd be thinking you have 66 or 22 quite often. QJ and KQ sometimes. Bluffs are rare enough here given the action, still not sure Q 10 folds here. I just find few hands you are betting for value and few bluffs barreling here. Guess we shall see. On your second hand I fold, too easy for you to have 86 here short handed and this deep.
@torikipitt750
@torikipitt750 Жыл бұрын
9:00 I think you've got AQ, KQ or 66, or at least are repping those hands. Id say you flat AQ a bit under 20% of the time. Q10 is fucked to play for him because you wouldnt be calling behind with less than Q9 a lot which means you've either got air (J10) or he's dominated with QJ+ post flop. Yea he's got a queen but with an average kicker on that board plus pockets gets there to make a full house. Alternatively you were worse with Q8< but convinced him with bet sizing his 10 was no good in which case sick play. The turn bet really repps a big hand as you could easily check back hoping to improve, I don't see a lot of bluffs there on the turn bet other than 66s, QJ+ which narrows it down even further for him. SB likely had 45 off suit type of hands which just makes it more likely you have what he thinks you have as SB blocks some of the worse Q hands. AA,KK,JJ can also be eliminated as your not ever flatting with that. 22 is also possible in a 3 way hand but less likely here I think. Flush draw is almost irrelevant as well imo and he's probably not thinking that. Now that I think about it more he definitely puts you on 66s as like I said not a lot of bluffs there and 66s are a call to a preflop aggressor not a shove unless you've got no chips. Final answer; 66 or Q8< (bluff/block bet).
@torikipitt750

Nice, I did think about K10 but as I said verrrry unlikely for you to be bluffing there and you used their perception of you to take it down. K10 was a hand I thought you had until that turn bet 🤣

Range is AQ KQ QJ some Q10s wouldn’t go much lower, pocket 2s or 6s maybe there but not overly likely coz you often will 3 bet them in the cut off vs utg raise and they play better for flop vs post flop. Some bluffs then like AJ AK which block AQ KQ QJ for him

The last hand is the exact same situation I faced in a $215 online tournament. I held 89 the flop came TJQ early position raised and I called then button pushes allin. Everyone was 50BBs deep or so, so I fold. Early position had KQ and button had a set of jacks. It’s amazing how bad plays make online so difficult to get good results.

@@bartoszbaskiewicz5600 I agree and I definitely should have only reason I folded I think was because second guy pushed so fast like he didn’t even consider AK which wrongfully lead me to believe that was what he held.

I feel like Daniel would have a lot more bluffs in his range then value cards in that position on the button. I would have called, but then Danny would have probably shown me the nuts XD

While it may sound basic now, the concept of "what hand could explain the other guy's betting pattern" to be the most useful way of looking at a poker hand.
