To all those people complaining about how Daniel is cringe and whatnot, if you don't like it, leave. I'm here to study poker from a pro, so I stick around and hit the mute button whenever he starts talking about his personal life. I don't care about it so I don't listen to it. I'm here for poker at the end of the day.

That A10 play hurt my soul. Would have got another 1800 in bounties and double knockout. When he gets down to 13bb his range pretty much becomes any pair, 10j or better, but a coin flip of a10 vs a pocket is worth it for the bounties and chips. Man oh man that should have been an instacall with your chip stack.
@phillipholmes52064 жыл бұрын
Where you folded A10o against the 13 BB all-in looks like the one that really got away. It was only 10% of your stack, seems like a v tight fold to me, but that's easy to say after the event.

Mike Sexton was in a unique position to elevate poker to where it is today by having the foresight to make it happen and to have the charisma and class to make poker appeal to the masses. He is an essential founding father of poker. I’ve saved all my “one time!”s and I’m using them tonight.

Are people serious when they ask D. Negs about how he has a hot wife?? Do they not know the way the world works? He could get a playboy playmate by snapping his fingers. She's very attractive but there's a lot hotter girls than her. As far as comparisons go he would be more of the "catch".

@phillipholmes52064 жыл бұрын
I don't know why, when you have 3x as many chips as everybody else, you still only open 2x BB? I think you would put far more pressure on short stacks if you go 4 or 5x BB, who will be forced to fold many hands they would like to play. Then if they call you only continue with your best holdings. Also going 1.3 BB after the flop doesn't seem to be doing much except folding all the nothing hands, anybody with anything at all will continue. You are great player and great to watch, I have a lot to learn, so I am genuinely confused, unless you then use the same bet to encourage people to bluff you, but when you have bigger hand you bet seem to usually bet bigger. I'm in the UK and stayed up till 2:15am to watch you, it was good. Sorry it went bad for you towards the end, expected you to final table this one. Keep up the good work. 👍

Nice wall of text. I'm guessing you have 40, maybe 50 bracelets?
@GolfPokerTaylor4 жыл бұрын
Trey Anastasio not sure why you police this forum asking everyone with a comment or question how many bracelets they have. It’s not like the guy is trolling or acting like he’s the king of poker, he genuinely admits he’s confused and has a lot to learn (judging by his questions, he does, which is fine). No one plays perfect poker throughout an 8 hour tourney, even DNegs, so if his fans who take 8 hours to watch, have comments about mistakes he might have made, or questions about his play, like this guy, why does everyone need bracelets to qualify for that right? Part of the fun of this whole thing are the opinions of the many fans (though usually misinformed). I have no bracelets but study and play enough to know that Daniel made a few mistakes. His AT fold for the bounty (regardless of if he cares about the money or not) was incorrect. Someone had an idea to call to trap, which is silly but Anton who studies and plays knows this is a re-raise iso spot. What DNegs didn’t realize, is that regardless of whether he cares about the bounty, others do, and it loosens their ranges up which should then give him the ability to attack with wider ranges (not so pertinent for the AT hand, moreso in other spots). He also folded A9 in the SB against a big stack, with a big stack, against a button min-open. He’s so far ahead of button’s open range here that this is a slam dunk 3.5-4x 3-bet every time. All that said, he’s one of the best in the world and it’s super easy to cherry pick mistakes over the course of an entire tournament. But discussing this stuff in forums like this is what poker is all about. So maybe drop your whole poker-cop MO and contribute to the conversation and explain to guys like this why it’s not profitable to open 4-5x no matter how big your stack is and/or why c-betting only 25% pot is profitable in so many spots. Asking how many bracelets commenters have is about as useful as the guys on here who mindlessly slam the content creators and other commenters with no value to add otherwise. Cheers.
