Dear Richard, ... If you are still interessted of a good photo of an 'open'- Scanner- microfon, so please let me know! I have an German-version, with 12 AM - 1Watt and 40 FM - 4W, but the microfon of the PR27-D, or the CEPT-Version, is the same! Told you last time, that I have a lot of DNT- radios here, ... ! It was just before, I 'switched' to HAM-radio, ... ! (1980 - 1990. - In 1989 I made my 'licence'!) You say, the DNT-radios of this time-period, are very well buildt,... this is very true, and they had also a very good documentation in the manuals, the drawings where ecxelent, and it was the time, that DNT 'ruled' the German market for a few years, Stabo and President where good radios too, but the 'newer' and more developed and engeniert radios came from 'Drahtlose Nachrichten Technik'. Maybe my 'AM-version of the manual, could help you, ... ! (better to read, ... ? Not all is new invented for a 'sister'- radio, without the AM-parts!) The dual-gate MOS-FET's and the double quartz-filter in the input-part of the radio, where mandatory in DL, for confirming to the stronger rules, in this time. As you said before, the radios must have a better receiver, with more selectivity, and the radios where really good for that! And that 'stupid'-looking mikrofon that comes with the 'Scannner FM', was better then any other mike, around on the CB-after-market. No need for any 'disco' or 'echo' or 'super-duper-special compressor'-mikrofon. This little small mike was just enough! Loud and crispy in the Sound, not so much bassy-tone, so that it will fit the bill, in the most ecxellent way! It sound so easy and natural and loud enough, also when driving in a car. A foto of the 'open mike' and all the voltages and 'numbers/colours' for 'up/dwn'-keys, will follow. What is the e-mail-address, where I can send the pictures to you? Will made a copy of the manual as a PDF-file, if I found my original one, from 1983. The photo will be a good JPG-file, so you will see, all what you need.
