sir, could we not consider the 30 degree phase diff. angle while converting line current to phase current at 11:13 ... ?

Sir why the OCC curve is also used in question c to get the field current, i thougt the OCC is for open circuit or no load condition only?

I've got a question!! As we increase the load the output current increases and the terminal voltage drops and to maintain the same terminal voltage, we must increase field current. Similarly, as the load increases do it gets harder to rotate the prime mover i.e we have to exert more force? and to maintain the likely to maintain the speed of rotation of rotor do we have to increase torque applied too ?

you probably dont care but if you're stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all the new series on instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf recently xD

OCC means open circuit curve, so under loaded condition how have you found the value of field current = 5.7A from Ea = 532.155 volts?
@ElectricalisEasy5 жыл бұрын
Ea is not dependent on the load current...Vt is the term that it dependent..so to find Ea u can use occ

Hello Sir. I am preparing for GATE & your lectures are very useful for me. Thanks for your effort. I have a doubt in this lecture. While converting the line current of delta connceted generator to phase current you took the angle same as that it was in line current. But we know that the phase angle of current leads by 30 degree than line angle in delta connection. Why this is not taken in consideration?

Sir I am not understand how you find the valu of If=4.8 for OCC
@cholomsury15485 жыл бұрын
As per my understanding The value of field current is found directly from the given OCC. So your task is to find Ea then go back to the give OCC and give the value of field current directly from OCC
@sumanmajumder40555 жыл бұрын
Is OCC already givan in the question... Form where we can find if.. Or not how we can find if=4.5 other matod

Sir,for the 3rd part, I (phase) will lead I(line) by 30 degrees, so instead of -36.86 degrees shouldn't it be -6.86 degrees?
@asifmustafahassan26464 жыл бұрын
no.....because from derivation, the angle of power factor is (thetaV - thetaI) phase......so here the theta from power factor is actually (theta of Vphi) - (theta of phase current).........
