Out of the backups I'd rather have Wilson. More nfl experience than stidham and if I needed Wilson for two games I'd rather him take the helm over stidham. Stidham plays not to lose at least Wilson will sling the rock and I can live with the results. Whoever wins the backup spot I'll trust in the coaches though and get behind it.

Stop this irrational love of ZW. He played 4th stringers and did perfectly average against 4th stringers. Stiddy didn’t get a chance at all to do anything. Zach doesn’t offer any upside. He has all the stats and film to prove he’s bad, it’s that simple. Idk what yall suddenly think he’s not a terrible QB anymore?! Like where have you been ?! His film is out there, it’s no secret. Stiddy offers a backup that knows the offense and won’t make big mistakes. It’s that simple. Sean’s hubris is going to get in the way because he wants to prove that the Jets are incompetent and he’s can save anyone. It’s really silly. It’s gonna bite us in the ass.

He played for a shitty staff and a shitty team, and has shown improvements every day, and clearly played better than Stidham. Stidham in camp and preseason last year showed he had zero knowledge about the playback and schemes, his two games at the end of last season showed he knew just as much in those games as he did thay camp, and Camp this year and Sunday showed he still knows zero about the playback and schemes. Wilson can lead you to a win, but Stidham can not, you have to win despite Stidham. Defense and Humphrey are the only reasons we beat Chargers at the end of last year, and defense and receivers weren't able to overcome Stidham's shitty play to beat the Raiders.

He doesn’t have a ceiling though. He’s not good, and It’s not gonna get better. His fundamentals are fine, it’s the actual ability to play in the NfL that he’s lacking. He’s not confident, he’s not a leader of men, he’s not very althletic,(sure he can throw a ball 40 yards+, so could Paxton and Brock) he’s not the future. Stiddy is a back up and I’ll take that back up all day over someone who isn’t and never will be good enough to consistently be a QB. Nix is the future and stiddy knows the offense well enough to be back up. Unless there is trade value , letting Zach hit waivers is perfectly fine.

Let's see, we know both Nix and Wilson, like all camp, did better than Stidham, so I am predicting at the start here that they give Stidham the best grade, because they have consistently graded Stidham way higher than he has actually earned, and they always grade Stidham above Nix and Wilson on days Stidham is the worst on the field (which has been pretty much every day of OTAs and Camp) Edit: well, they didn't give Stidham the best grade, but graded him well above his performance, had him somehow tied with Nix even though in two seasons he hasn't had one single practice where he has done even half as good as Nix. How has Stidham gotten the 2nd string for Sunday? He hasn't done anytbing to show he is even worth being a towel boy. You guys are really doubling down on riding Stidham's joy stick. Stidham has not had One. Single. Day. where he wasn't the 3rd best QB on the field. He has absolutely and blatantly not even been close to Nix, and he has shown nothing to be considered better than Wilson. Also, Franklin IS a 2nd round talent that we got in the 4th, but you guys act like being a first or 2nd rounder guarantees instant success and late picks guarantee slow builds. Plenty of those 4-7 and UDFA are just as good as, if not better than, the 1-3 round picks. 1-3 rounders can take longer to develop than late round picks. It just depends on the individual, not the round the individual was drafted in. WHY ARE WE STILL PRETENDING NIX AND WILSON WERE NOT SCREWED OVER AS MUCH AS STIDHAM WAS?!?!?!?! Nix and Wilson got screwed over just as much, but since they actually understand the offense and can run the offense they could overcome being screwed over by their team mates.

Wilson did not do better at all in camp. He routinely finished 4th in a competitive 3 way. Every single source has confirmed that. Stop blowing Zach Wilson smoke and look at reality. Bo is the starter and we don’t need Zach at all unless it’s trade value. Stiddy can calmly be a back up all day long
