This is not going to be a fun season. With so little shooting we will get 0 easy wins. Even vs bad teams we still have to heavily outplay them just because we are missing points. Like we scored 87 tonight, that is just horrible. To lose is one thing, but the bigger issue is that I don't see a room for improvement. Not like AG, Russ, PG, CB are going to become shooters. Guys it's very simple. You can't have Jokic without shooters and you can't have Jokic without defenders. (that's why KCP was so important, even though he wasn't that much better than other options on the team, he just had both things) Jokic is great defender, but he's not putting out fires for weak links, he takes care of his man, he's not saving it at the rim. And that's the Nuggets line ups right now, either the opponent can pack the paint, because there are no shooters, or you put in Strawther and the opponent is scoring 2 every time down the court. BUT don't worry, there's lot of bad teams in the NBA who either won't plan for us, or just can't exploit us as easily as OKC. We will win games and vibes will go up. (In PO we are indeed fu********)

Given how saric played last night, I'd give zeke naji the starting center for the 2nd unit. He's a good but not great defender, but he plays incredibly hard and his effort is contagious, especially on the offensive board. Murray’s bode is on the decline. Too many injuries, and that injuries against the Knicks was what killed his athleticism, and it was such a pointless play too. I hate people saying he doesn’t want it when simply the player he was isn’t there anymore. Also, you guys like ball movement like most fans, but you need some isolation scoring and the nuggets have none of it. Jokic can score from the post, but he is a perimeter scoring and at this moment, the nuggets have 0 of that.

I agree that he is not the player that he was, but I don't think it is due to the injuries. It's his head. He is making too many bad decisions, he doesn't have to be running around pointlessly as he is, he does not need to be attacking the rim, in fact, he doesn't need that much athleticism at all. All he needs to do is to hit those mid range jumpers and at least a third of his threes. My favorite is when he jumps and is going to pass, but he didn't figure out to whom he is passing before he jumped, so you can see him panicking as he's falling down and throwing the ball frantically, it's a thriller every time, will he make it or not?

COMPLICATED OR WHAT? Basketball is not a complicated game. And it is clear that Westbrook ,Strawther and Watson hammered Nuggets into oblivion,just by playing for them! It is a devastating plus-minus index with minus 24,23 and 13 that clearly shows where the problem is. I would also like to point out that with C,Braun Nuggets has a Shooting guard who cannot shoot. Because of its lack of basketball IQ the Nuggets bench looks like a group of local post office amateurs playing a Saturday night game against the fire department. No more players like J.Green or B.Brown that could come in and make some plays. Today is all about "attack the rim or shoot for 3". Basketball is a playing game, not attacking or shooting incident. You need "smart players" not individual skill sets... Shame, to waste Jokic prime with a team that lacks basic understanding in what "the game" is.

This game for me was the final straw in watching NBA basketball. I was so bored the entire game. Absolutely a completely uninteresting product. The rest of the NBA is the same. Every team runs the exact same actions [high PnR, DHO stuff, isolations], every team runs the same exact defense [switch to the extent possible to try to counter whatever motion your opponent runs, and then protect the rim if possible and play drop coverage - not really much interesting in between, let alone anything interesting with zones or anything]. It's so predictable watching every possession I wonder how on earth teams still have trouble knowing each other's plays.

One thing I would say is Jokic & Russ didn’t have their best games and they’re not young like Luka anymore and able to pull something out of themselves in the last half. Need the team to create steals, playing more active like Jrue Holiday, Derrick White that would help a lot but even at the rim Nuggets struggled finishing the basket.
