moral of the story is yes they will rub everytime you hit a speed bump in the mall parking lot. So dodge those an you should be able to make your daily commute on flat pavement with the offroad tires you had to have lmao..

Ehhh yeah it’d take a good 2” to clear the fender walls.. best bet is a higher lift, or a 10” wide wheel with like a -19ish offset to tuck the tire in the corner of the wheel well

I did not like the rubbing at all on my truck when I put on the 33s nittos. I ended up cutting a bit of the wheel well and hammering in some of the metal behind the plastic trim. It works for me.

@F RR depends on the offset of the wheel I think. I only have a 2inch level you may have a little more clearance than I did on my 33s, I think the were only 11 or 11.5 wide tho. The trimming and hammering I did was minimal, you wouldn't even notice

I have a '14 Silverado with 33's with -44 offset and they only rub when im fully cranked going over bumps... mostly in reverse. it also has rough country 3.25' body lift with level and rough country 3.5 suspension lift. The girth and stance always comes with a price

If anyone is intrested,,, Im running 20x10 -24 motometals, 285-55-R20 Atturo Trail Blade AT. 2 inch RC Level, was rubbing that same plastic piece as his in reverse, Trimmed it with a dremel from the most inner bolt inward, flatened down most inner bolt head with dremel, and no more noise. all together maybe cut 2 or so inches of the plastic off.... still looks very clean and stock.

I am putting on a Supreme Suspension 3.5" front and 3.0" rear lift with a differential drop kit to retain the factory geometry. The tire and wheel combination will not rub either.

Ehh.. the excess weight can prematurely wear components like that however there’s still stock trucks that have wheel bearing and ball joint failure and whatnot. It definitely help the situation 🤷🏻‍♀️

'16 and newer must be easier to fit bigger wheel and tire combos. i have a '14 gmc 1500 with just a 2" level running moto metal mo970 20x12 -44 and amp terrain attack m/t 33x12.5x20 i had to do a full norcal, cut a nice sliver off the front bumper for it to not make any noise. it didnt really bother me but my wife was always scared of driving it because of the noise lol it still rubs some carpet liner but thats no big deal

Dylan Hamlin you can run them on stock wheels from my understanding but they might touch the UCAs at full lock if they’re pretty beefy and true to size. Seems like a lot of guys get away with a 10” wide wheel with like a -18 to -24 offset with no rubbing.

Dylan. My 2017 3" front with factory 20's they have a +27 offset and I have kept the 275/55r20 tires. And they rub on the front of the upper control arm at full turn.

Ive got the same setup tires with just slightly different wheels at -51.. my are rubbing horrible rn with a full turn and somewhat at 3/4 of a turn going forward. They definitely run a bit more in reverse.. at the moment just being cautious when going into parking lots, making sure wherever i go i wont have to sharp turn.. i didnt think though in around 1k miles the tires will be slightly worn down causing that rubbing to go away 🤔 Good think im going on around a 700 mile trip .. should help wear them down just a bit.

Awesome truck!I have 22x12.5 33's -18 offset with same trailblades on a leveled silverado.I did some minor cutting and bending(2lb hammer) behind the mud flaps.Took mud flaps off,tied back the liner with straps where bulged. Driver side removed factory wiper reservoir,bought a $15 smaller reservoir on amazon put it up top.Easy. I have clearance at least 2inches all sides.Never rubs.

TechWithDave the issue with running a tall and wide tire on a 0 offset the tires rub on the upper control arms and what not in the wheel well. You need to push that tire away from the suspension a bit with a negative offset or a wheel spacer to gain the clearance for the wider rubber.

TechWithDave good luck brother, can typically bump up a size or so from stock and still clear fine. So if you have 265/75s so can probably fit 275/75s or something like that. Need to get a level, lift, and some negative offset wheels. I’m on a 2.5” level with -44 offset wheels and still have some rubbing. It’s hard with these GM trucks!

Finally a video on 33's rubbing on a gm truck with a 2-3" leveling kit. Great review man. I bough a 2019 gmc sierra and just bought wheels for it. Just trying to decided if I should get 305/55R20's or smaller, but i'm pretty sure you just made up my mind for me. Thanks

My elevation came with 275/65 r20. No rubbing. Looks like I'm going to have to go with a 10 inch wide tire.

That is a double cab. Crew cab is the biggest cab.

Depending on the offset of the wheel they should be alright.. most guys get away with 33s on a 10” wide wheel on a 3” level

@@dickslap37 lift didn’t effect fuel mileage enough to notice if any. Wheels and tires took me down a good 2mpg both city and highway
