Not gonna lie, i think Babcock has let the game pass him by. I know there is the argument that players have gone soft but there still needs to be a line drawn in the sand. What he did with Marner and Jenner as examples are just gross. No coach should be doing that

Adam obviously never dealt with a narcissist before. If your on their good side or they need something from you they're the nicest person in the world and people love them. If your on their sh*t list and they have power over you they can make your life miserable. But they'll smile in everyone's face and make you look like the crazy one for not liking them. I'm not suprised Babcock has lots of guys who love him, they're all people he can use for a favor. I worked for a narcissist for 3 years and no one believe me when I told them the things that person did, not even HR. Now that I have a new job my former coworker is seeing what I saw cuz she's on the list now.

Just one small correction for those curious. Tennis and soccer do not put a chip in the ball. It is a system of cameras that track the ball and calculate where it is going, and where it is, in the space that is within the measuring parameters. It requires a lot of cameras, a really fast computer, and a strong connection between the cameras and computer. The one issue in hockey is the bodies in the way. Tennis does rely mostly on predicted path, so as long as there is enough of an entry view to simulate the trajectory, it would work, but those systems use cameras, and cameras have to see what they are looking for.

In a discussion about top coaches in the league right now, I'm not sure how you can leave Andrew Brunette out. He starts as a replacement in Florida and goes on to win the President's trophy. He leaves and Florida barely squeaks in as a playoff team, goes to New Jersey and takes a number four lottery team, turns them into a number two in the entire league, leaves Jersey, they fall back into a lottery team. Goes to Nashville who is expected to be bottom middle of the division and gets them in as the number one wild card and gets an Adams nomination for it as well. So clearly he needs to be on an extremely short list of anybody that we're talking about as a top coach in the league right now.

As someone who is a fan of teams like the Lakers and Barcelona (also Bayern Munich), I can confidently tell you that NO ONE of any legit quality really wants to coach any one of those teams currently. All three are an absolute mess right now when it comes to their meddling management getting in the way on top of the media pressure that comes w/those markets. The fact that the Lakers are more than likely going to hire JJ Redick, a guy who has NO coaching exp and is currently a co-host of a podcast alongside LeBron James as well as a color commentator for ESPN, and Bayern hiring someone like Vincent Kompany who just got his Burnley team RELEGATED from the Premier League this season, shows you how much trouble teams of their PRESTIGE have had attracting anyone to coach them. Barcelona did just recently hire Hansi Flick, who is a quality manager, but it came off the heels of one of the most disrespectful firings of a club legend that I have ever seen that led to a massive PR disaster amongst fans and media.

Angel Hernandez, while very bad, probably didn't deserve to be the face of bad umpiring, as he was. There's a chunk of bad umpires in MLB, Angel Hernandez was the one everyone knew by name. If someone, let's say Kyle Schwarber, loses it on Angel Hernandez, it's, "look what Angel did now". If it was CB Bucknor or Alfonso Marquez or Manny Gonzalez or Charlie Ramos (aka the least accurate umpires in MLB this year), it's Kyle Schwarber loses it on UMPIRE.
