Great question. You'll want to make sure the predictor variable (column) that indicates group membership is a factor variable (google "converting vector into a factor, as.factor() R" for help with this). Then, check the example on UCLA's stats' page: google "R UCLA Coding for Categorical Variables in Regression Models"

lets say I have a column of data indicating which group each person is in and have 100 groups, what would be the code to run the regression on each group (so I would have 100 regression results)?
